Known as The Ugly Pool Guy, a 2nd generation AZ Native and graduate of Moon Valley High School, Brian grew up with parents who were high school educators. From that background, both a scholarly, as well as hands on approach has helped to shape his knowledge of the industry. Touted as one of the top entrepreneurs in 2006, Brian has established his leadership not only in the pool industry, but in the business community. Few possess the knowledge & understanding of what it takes to remodel and repair swimming pools. Brian became the first to specialize on pool remodels, renovations, & repairing the pitfalls of others. Heading up the #1 renovation company in AZ, Brian has provided a direction of service that utilizes lessons learned from his parents & educates his customers & employees on the options for pools. Charitable organizations include; Breast Cancer Awareness, Drowning Awareness & Prevention, & Supporting those lost in the line of duty.

This is the only pool company I will use, they were quick to give me a reasonable estimate and answered my long list of questions. Professional and courteous. All work was completed when they said it would be and I didn’t have to worry about anything extra not being mentioned or additional charges. I recommend WFUP to all of my friends.

Brian Morris (owner) came out 5⁄12 to do a survey and told me he would have an estimate to me the next day. I called back a couple days later and he told me he was working on getting me a Memorial Day deal and would have the estimate to me the following day and we would have our pool completed by July 4th. It’s now 5⁄23 and I’ve left four messages since then with his office, called his cell phone and sent a text message, all with no response. This is completely unprofessional. If he didn’t want the job he could have just said so. I’ve had another company come out and give an estimate, realistic delivery dates and have signed a contract. I don’t recommend this company if you want to deal with a courteous owner.

UPDATE: Apparently my bad initial experience with WFUP’s was due to an employee no longer with the company. Brian came to my home and impressed me with his knowledge and genuine concern for the terrible first impression I had of his company. We are now reviewing his estimate for our remodel. Mistakes can happen and I must say Brian has done what he can to rectify the situation. Thanks, Brian!

Had to review this company to give some props, especially since reviews are currently failry poor.
I have a home warranty. When my pool pump went out these guys were assigned as my repair people. I was liery (being a Unilocaler through and through) because of the negative reviews but couldn’t be happier in the end.
They called me the same day the claim was assigned to them and were able to come out the next morning (a Friday) between 8 and 12. The guy (Jimmy) rolled up around 9 or so and quickly got to work, determining the problem was the capacitors.
I’m thinking greeeeat… He’s not going to have what he needs and I’ll be stuck with a nonworking pool until Monday. Well I was wrong… He had the parts fixed/​replaced them quickly and was on his way out of the yard with the system working again when it suddenly shut off. He immediately went back over the system and it turns out that, yes, the capacitors were bad, but so was the motor.
I’m thinking greeeeat… NO WAY hes gonna have a motor… Sure enough he had that also! Spent another 30 minutes replacing and testing that and he was outta there.
Very happy customer. I can’t speak to the pricing because I went through my warranty company who charges a flat $ 60 bucks (2 – 10 warranty, great company) no matter what happens, but my service experience couldn’t have been better.

Agree with all other negative reviews here. Not the place for your pool service needs, installation, or maintenance. Poor quality, customer service, and management.
Our builder used this pool company to build our pool, and we decided to use them for maintence. This was a complete mistake. It was a hassle every time that we had to call the management. Unreliable service — the workers claimed that they were the ones who built and deisnged the pool… but yet were the pool boys? Obvioulsy, they knew little about pool care and took very little effort and pride in their work. Management did not care. We had several issues, just like the other reviewers, with customer service, guarantees, and quality — and we concur.
The pool itself, while looks very nice, has had several issues since — cracks, leaks, pumps, issues with filter, lights, valves, etc. They are very expensive too. In fact, we were missing a small valve in our pool, which cost merely $ 10 or so… they ordered and I told them I would pick it up and pop it in myself (because they do charge in arm and a leg for EACH visit. For whatever reason, they decided to come and put it in themselves… and they had the audacity to put a bill for «installation and equipment» totalling more than $ 100! It’s tue about the statements about price matching claims.
Overall, they designed a nice pool, but with it came headaches with quality of the pool, management disappointment, poor customer service, subpar maintenance, extravagant prices and fees. As you could imagine, we changed our pool service to one with more integrity, knowledge, and better quality staff, administration, and work ethic. Sorry Ugly Pool Guys, but it doesn’t meet standards.

Bad experience go worse with WFUP. Their estimator called to say he would be 30 minutes late to a scheduled appointment to measure our HOA pool for a remodel. Finally, an hour went by when he called again to say he had arrived. Fine… I can live with a delay. What troubles me is that 1 month later, I’ve never heard from the company with the estimate. I’ve called 5 times to follow-​up and still, have never heard from them. The first two times, the receptionist said the estimate was almost ready and would be emailed to me that night. The other three times, I’ve been told «you need to talk to Brian or Sam… they’re in a meeting, they’ll call back in 1. 5 hours.» Or, when say I’ve been told I’ll be called back and no one follows-​up, I get «I’ll make SURE someone calls you back.» Still haven’t heard back from anyone. Too bad. Our HOA has money to spend on a pool remodel. We’ll give it to another, reputable company.

We met with Bryce the President of their We Build New Pool division. He came out to our home and spent a great deal of time helping us understand the process of building a pool. We were impressed with his ideas. He said that he would get back with us in about 7 – 10 days. We never heard back from him. After about a month or so I reached out to them and received a phone call from Alan. He told me that Bryce had left the company and would I be willing to start all over with him. He needed to come out and take some more measurements. We had Alan out and he too said that he would put a design together and get back to us in about 7 – 10 days. Again, 30 – 45 days later did not hear back from him. This time of course I did not reach back out to him. Yesterday at the AZ Home Show I saw Alan working the booth at the show. I said do you remember me? He said, remind me of your name again which I gave to him. I asked why didn’t he get back to us. He told me he couldn’t find all the paperwork that Bryce had put together and so he did call me back because he didn’t think that we were really interested in a pool! Wow what can of customer service is that. He asked me if we could start all over. LOL I said you have got to be kidding! I wouldn’t do business with this company at all. If they can even get the design put together, give the customer an estimate of the cost, there is no way that I am going to «hope» the project gets done in a timely, cost effective and quality manner. Shopper and Buyer Beware!

I contracted WFUP before I hired them to repair my pool, big mistake. It took a week to get the work done and when I called to request a earlier appointment as my pool was turning green, I was told I would get a call back after she talked to her manager. I never did get a call back and my pool got worse. The repair person was competent, but not very friendly. I would look for a company that puts the customer first before hiring these people. I was made to feel like I was damned lucky to have them work on my system.

Sales team and owner are great to deal with. Once we got to end of our project we were forced to deal with a man named Sam who was rude, threatening, and nothing like we were prepared to deal with. Their work is good and they sell you a great company at the start, but the team who handles the wrap up is awful. Would stay away if you don’t want to be threatened and made to feel like you are doing them a favor by doing business with them.

I must say that a few years ago we had major work done on our pool and hardscape and spent about $ 80,000. The pool is fine, but if you could see the AWFUL job they did on the hardscape, you would not believe how bad it is. I got ZERO help from them and now we are going to have to have the work redone. Very costly mistake using them. Just don’t use them

so the store owner took offense to my review of his shop. I want to point out that my main complaint with this store was that he told me he would match any local bid I got. In his response to my review, he clearly stated that he couldn’t match the price (see original review) I was given, which highlights my original statement. Don’t offer something to your clients that your unwilling to do! I understand how business works but when you make claims that you can not or will not back up, that gives you a bad name. I may recommend leaving out the part about being willing to match any local offer when talking with new clients. Talk is cheap.
