This place was fun! Came for dinner and I ordered the fried bologna sandwich which so so so so GOOD!!! After we enjoyed the live band and watched line dancing. The bar is nice and big, the fireball shots are $ 7 each though! This was on a Saturday night… that’s overpriced… apparently tues or Thursday is ladies night and they have $ 3 fireball shots or something. I ate, I drank, I danced and will come back again.

Closed. Just a matter of time. Serve crappy food and abuse your guests is not a good business model.

Great design and location! We sat at the bar and the service was excellent. That being said we ordered the Toby Keith sampler and every item in it was flavorless. The management understood and offered to replace it… We accepted with the brisket nachos and we just managed through it because we were starving. Would not order it again. Service 5 stars., management 5 stars food ZERO stars. Just order a cold one and enjoy the band.

I gave this place 3 chances, and it ruined my evening every time:(The food is actually ok, and I do not mind paying a bit extra for the drinks, I even like the bands that have been playing each time I have gone. There are two HUGE issues, the staff and the group they almost have to pay to dance there. I’ll start with the dancers, the group was pretty much the same for each visit, and if you even look like you are going to try to dance they glare you back off the floor. They are fun to watch, but rude and territorial. Next the bouncers, I have not met an ax murderer that I know of, but if I did he would be nicer than these guys. They start at the door by frisking you, and never get past treating you like your in prison. I was bumped, pushed, shoved, and grunted at, my husband got the same, only harder and more often. I will not subject myself to this ever again.

God. Just close this place down already. Either that or just fire everyone and get a whole new team. People who actually know what they’re doing and isn’t harassing people to ‘step outside’ for no valid reason. Horrible food and just overall atmosphere. And Phil R. from guest relations, save your lame comment. You don’t care! I’ve had just about enough of this place.

The husband took me to the location at parkwest to celebrate mother’s day, the Saturday before the actual holiday. We waited 5 minutes for the server to take our order. The place was empty. We couldn’t figure out why everything took so long. We ordered drinks and by the time they got to us we ordered more just so they would be out in a timely manner. When our main course finally came around we had to retrieve hot sauce from another table, then wait for our server to come back because my husband didn’t get the egg he ordered on his burger. We spent $ 108 between the two of us, and had to wrap it all up so we wouldn’t miss the movie next door. All in all, food was descent, but service was definitely lacking.

Seriously, you now have been open for two years now and you still can’t get your management and employees to provide decent food or service. This restaurant has tarnished The Toby Keith brand. The writing is on the wall; this chain wasn’t the salvation to Improve Park West, you made it worse. Pack up and get out!

I used to enjoy going here but this place has completely changed. The atmosphere used to be friendly, people came here to dance and have a great time. Management sucks and it shows in the servers faces and their high turnover. Unfortunately I would rather take my business and recommend you do as well to the place across the street cabin fever. Sorry Tobi’s I was a loyal customer but you lost me today with poor management.

My buddy and I went to Grimaldis for lunch and then decided to stop by here for a drink. We got there around noon and there were only a few people in the joint. The place is pretty freaking big. Lots of space to roam and mingle. We sat at the bar and hung out for a bit. We had a really friendly and easy going(both in personality AND on the eyes) bartender that we chatted up. She told us that later on that night, it was«Ladies Night» and that drinks were 50 cents for ladies and $ 1.00 for guys during certain hours. Not bad. We decided to come back later that night to check it out. Here is how that went down… 10:00pm– We arrived and were semi patted down and paid our $ 5.00 cover charge. They slap a wristband on you and then we grabbed a table. Tons of people were here. Definitely a younger(college) crowd. I felt old and kept reminding myself that I was probably a sophomore in high school when most of these spring chickens were born. Scary thought, I know! We hung out for a bit and watched some people dance. About every 20 minutes, the DJ would play some certain song and people would line up and bust out their moves in a group line dance type deal. They had one song they played(Didn’t know the name of it. sorry) where people are just kicking their feet and doing the slide or whatever it was called. All of a sudden, there is one point in the song where the beat just dropped… PANDAFUCKINGMODIUM! People started dancing faster and kicking their legs higher and spinning as fast as a tornado etc. It was NUTS! My buddy compared it to the Harlem Shake. Once that beat dropped… all hell broke loose! It was definitely a sight to see. We chilled for about an hour and then decided to bail. Not sure on why this place gets a 2 star average. Every person we encountered there was friendly and service was excellent both time frames we went. I would definitely come back and I think my wife and her girlfriends would enjoy this place too.

Went to Toby Keith’s last night after a year. The first time was for my best friends birthday party and our experience was not the greatest. Drinks were spilt on our friends by the servers, no one was attentive, and it wasn’t a good experience in general. Came back last night for the first time in a long time and still wasn’t impressed. The food was delicious, however. It wasn’t busy at all around 8pm that we were there. Our server failed to check on us when we needed something. Looked for her everywhere when we were ready for our bill while she was just standing up front.

Place is horrible the«waitress» that was supposed to be waitressing felt that she needed to add her own tip to the bill since my tip wasn’t good enough. I was once a server and took pride in it. The«waitress» we had, had none! Since when is it allowable to create ur own tip as a server?! I called to complain and I was redirected to a tool company, how weird is that. I’ll never go there again, steak was good but horrible service, and since it’s getting late I’ll continue my review another day cuz I have to wake up early for work. Poor service!!! To be continued…

We arrived at Toby Keith’s on a Sunday night with our little family of 4.(2 adults &2 tweens) They had just opened for dinner and were moving pretty slow. The outfits that this place makes these ladies were is just disgusting. I am not saying that because I am a women, cause don’t get me wrong I am happy to check out a nice T & A with the hubby but one of these girls was absolutely disgusting to even look at. Tits were about to fall out of her shirt and they weren’t nice to look at. We ordered the largest appetizer which was really good. Youngest ordered a soldiers hamburger, oldest ordered the top sirloin, hubby ordered the two meat dinner meal and I ordered the chicken fried steak. Everything was good EXCEPT the chicken fried steak. It was disgusting. I couldn’t even attempt to eat it which of course pissed me off since this place is not cheap in the least. Waitress came back and I told her I didn’t care for it at all she said I wish you would have told me earlier, it was the first time she came back to the table since she dropped our food off. Walked out spending $ 103 on dinner with a $ 15 tip and won’t be returning.

The atmosphere was good… waitress was nice and helpful but the price was alittle high and main dish(steak and ribs) were cold. We live close so we will be back and try it again

I may bump this rating up a start down the road if I ever go in there and get above average service. I have yet to be in there and see a band perform… that would be cool! They have a HUGE bar which seems like it would be great at night and an in-house stage for a band to play. The food is good, a bit pricey, but you can always make this crap cheaper at home… you’re out for a reason. I have yet to try the fried bologna sandwich. I just can’t bring myself to spend $ 12-$ 14 on bologna, ya know? They do have a Kids eat free deal that goes on everyday that I have yet to take advantage of. Each kid eats free with the purchase of an adult entrée. So one adult entrée=one child eating free. That means if you have 2 kids and one adult… one of those kids better have brought their lunch money! ;)

My second time here and the food and atmosphere was awesome the food is a bit pricey but well worth it. Their steaks are cooked to perfections and their drinks were great the customer service was outstanding my only negative is the sides portions are a bit small and their macaroni is plain I give it a 4 out of 5

I don’t really want to run this place down(as I am a fan of Toby Keith) but… We have been here three times but it just gets worse. This last time the waitress was more elusive than Bigfoot I tried to flag her down but got a” just a min sir”. Twenty minutes of that was enough. You can get much better food in the other restaurants nearby. I wonder what will go into this building after Toby Keith leaves?

Went on ladies night and had a blast! Fifty cent drinks for ladies before eleven. The DJ played a mix of country and hip hop. My only complaint about the music is when a Dj repeats a song within a three hour time frame. ESPECIALLY when it’s the wobble wobble, cupid shuffle, electric slide type song. Bathrooms were clean. Staff was mediocre. Not horrible but not friendly. I know it’s busy and there’s lots of personalities to deal with but it wouldn’t hurt to smile once in a while. Didn’t eat here and based on the reviews I never plan to. Great place for happy hour and ladies night! Lots of eye candy! Great mix of people. Oh, and if you’re lucky you might spot your favorite fellow Unilocaler, Dallas! Apparently he lives there!

So… We came back. This time, it was after a spring training game and I had my sister, her husband, and their 3 kids with me. Service was fine… place was actually pretty busy for a weekday. My nephew and I enjoyed our meals… I had the fried bologna sandwich and he had the buffalo chicken sandwich. However, my sister and her husband couldn’t even eat theirs. They ordered these MONSTER nachos. I’m not kidding. These things could feed 10 people. So the other two kids ate off of them as well… or at least tried to. I mean… who doesn’t like nachos? These nachos are served with 3 types of meat. Smoked chicken, bbq brisket and pulled pork. Now the chicken was good… it was just a basic smoked chicken… no sauce. But the pork and the brisket had sauce. The absolute most sickeningly sweet sauce known to man. So sweet, that it could have been called a dessert. Needless to say, the nachos were not very edible. Thankfully, the server was kind enough to take the nachos off the bill… but from now on, I know not to order anything of the bbq sort here. I’ll stick to the appetizers, bologna sandwich, and beer.

This place is rated oddly low. Or maybe I just had a uniquely pleasant experience here. So I came here on a Thursday night which is ladies night(50 cent drinks) before 11. And there was a DJ, people were dancing lively and the dance floor had enough room to two step but wasn’t a ghost town — just the right balance. The dance floor is very large by the way, great plus. The music was a nice mix of hip hop and country in case you can’t two step(although you’re in a country bar). I like the mix, I think I would get tired of hearing country all day(like at Whiskey Row in Old Town). Unfortunately I didn’t come here for the food, so I have no idea what it’s like, just came to dance with some friends. Maybe I’ll come back to try it. The bartenders are attentive which is another plus. The crowd is interesting, definitely a mix of young and old. Since it was ladies night Thursday night, there were a lot of ladies for the night. Sort of unusual for a late scene at a bar, but I guess that’s why ladies night is implemented to bring us on in, and it works. :P The bathrooms were great, many many stalls — no lines, no wait! And they were very clean. :) The patio was sort of packed, but there’s a lot of free seating inside and out so that’s a plus unlike at nightclubs where it’s 100% VIP only. So overall, it was a good experience. Not much to complain about — the crowd was slightly obnoxious giving the security and staff a hard time, but the security and staff were very patient and fantastic, they dealt with everything professionally and fast.
