History
Established in 2015.
After graduating from culinary school, chef and part owner, Robert «Bubba» Wilson dreamed of starting his own restaurant. After being hired on the Peoria Fire Department, he felt he wouldn’t be able to give his restaurant the attention it deserved. While working on the fire department he has also worked part time at the Pere Marquette, Creve Couer Club, Cater Inn, Willow Knolls Country Club, Ivy Club, among many other places. After retiring from the fire department in 2014, Robert and his wife Mary, are finally realizing his dream. Pop’s Place opened July 1, 2015.
