History

Established in 2012.

Parker & Parker has a long history in the Peoria area, dating back 33 years to its inception as Parker & Halliday. In 2012, partners Drew and Rob Parker established the new law firm of Parker & Parker. Since 1980, the firm has handled a wide range of cases, including high-profile murder defenses, fatal car accidents, lawsuits against railroads, and multi-million dollar divorces.

With Rob Parker’s arrival in 2009, the practice expanded into new areas of litigation. Serious nursing home neglect cases are now a focal point. Theresa Rahe Hardesty became of counsel to the firm in 2012 and has handled more than 3500 adoptions. Brian Seckler joined in 2013.

Today it handles complex family law cases, such as contested adoption, custody and visitation matters, high net-worth divorces, and multifaceted interstate and international adoptions. It is equally proficient in the area of personal injury work, particularly with wrongful death and nursing home neglect lawsuits.
