Fantastic nail salon. Staff was friendly, everything was very clean and sanitary and they did a great job on my nails and eyebrow wax. Oh and the massage chairs for the pedicure are perfect. I will definitely be back.

Michael and Leanne are great! After an absolutely terrible experience at a nail salon across the street, I wandered in to Modern Nails and found a real gem. The interior is clean and well appointed, but not fancy. (They recently upgraded their pedicure chairs and the new ones are very cute and comfortable with LED lights and massage.)
I think my favorite thing about Modern Nails is how friendly and talkative everyone is. Whenever I go there, everyone in the room (employees and customers) is involved in animated discussion, even strangers who are sitting next to each other getting their nails done!
The pedicures here are very thorough, and the girls are always very conscious of any special physical needs of their clients. I have a pinched nerve in my leg, and they’re always very accommodating of the wacky way I need to bend my knees!
I don’t get my nails done very often, but my mother does. I have her a gift certificate to Modern Nails for Christmas in 2013, and she has been a monthly regular ever since!

This is a nice, clean nail place, they are very friendly, call you by name and do a great job… Nothing fancy, just the basics, I like nail art and I think I challenge them when I ask for it. They always offer me a beverage and I can usually get in right away.

I came to modern nails to get a fill. The salon was empty and there were only about 3 employees working. The man that did my nails was not very friendly. I did not like the way he filed my nails. He made them too skinny on the top so my nails looked thick on the bottom and skinny on the top, weird right? Also, some of my nails were not filed straight on top. It just seemed like he did not pay attention to detail. Then after the fill he made me stick my hands in burning hot wax. At first I thought it was a nice touch but when he took the wax off my hands he wouldn’t let me wash my hands. He said too leave it because the wax will moisturize my hands… I went to grab my purse but realized that my hands were so greasy that it would get all over my purse. I had to practically beg him for a paper towel to clean off my hands. But the paper towel did not get all the grease/​wax off my hands and wax ended up getting on my purse, wallet, and my jeans. My nails looked just ok. I will not be returning to this salon.

First of all, my husband is an elite member of Unilocal and he is going to be sad when he finds out that my first review written was about a nail salon but I promise I will try to write more reviews on restaurants in the near future!
I am not one of the girls that gets her nails done every week but I really enjoy treating myself now and then. This salon is right next to the gym I go to and I figured I would give it and try (the shopping center isn’t the mostly aesthetically pleasing). I am sure glad I did!!!
Michael is the owner of this salon and he is extremely friendly and welcoming. My first visit there was after I got done working out, he immediately greeted me and asked if I wanted a cold bottled water. WHAT!!! I was shocked, excited, and gladly said yes I love some! :(How is that for some customer service!) :)
Micheal’s staff is also wonderful and pamper you generously. My gel manicure was awesome and lasted over three weeks. They $ 20 (or $ 18 I don’t remember exactly) for a gel manicure! Most salons charge $ 30, quite the savings. Also, they don’t charge $ 5 extra for french manicure.
The $ 20 manicure included a paraffin wax (again on heard of in the salon world!) The only tiny negative is that they don’t give you a hand or arm massage but all the other perks make up for it. I have been there a few times now and it is wonderful to be pampered in a clean salon at a great price while enjoying a good conversation with Micheal and staff. I have told my family and friends in hopes they support this business.
After spending years searching around the valley for a great salon, my search has successfully ended. I highly recommended this salon and wouldn’t go to a different salon again!

Modern Nails is a clean, enjoyable place to go for your nails. The owners are friendly and fun and we always have a nice conversation when i go there. And they remember my name! I highly recommend this place. It is VERY clean!!!
