J Salon

J Salon is the hands down one of the best salons to get your hair done at. Love the atmosphere of this place and all the employees seem to be friendly! The receptionist greets you when you walk in. Also love the hair videos they show while waiting for your stylist. It has a great diversity between all ages which I love and everyone seems to get along.
I see Samantha when I go to J Salon. Samantha is a professional hairstylist who really takes her time to consult with you on what you’re looking to get done. She does a great job at explaining different suggestions for your hair. When cutting my hair, she always double checks with me to see if I’m liking the length. At the end of my service Samantha asks me if I’m happy with the result and always tells me to give her a call if I’m not happy, which I never had to do! I always get compliments on my hair! If you’re looking for a new stylist in the Peoria area, Samantha Morgan is your girl!

I’m pretty new to the Peoria/​Arrowhead neighborhood and had a hard time finding a recommendation for a salon in the area. I found J Salon from other Unilocal reviews and figured I would give it a shot. I was really nervous about just choosing a salon on a whim because my hair is my pride and joy (may seem dramatic, but I’m quite serious). I haven’t had my hair cut in quite a few years and wanted to take off at least 8 – 10 inches, so as you can imagine this was a big decision for me.
I called to schedule an appointment, but it seems like they do take walk-​ins on most days. It was pretty last minute and the friendly receptionist asked if I had a preference on the stylist. There were lots of reviews for a few of the people, but I was scheduled to see Samantha.
I arrived 5 minutes before my scheduled time, and was greeted right when I entered. Samantha came to get me within just a few moments of sitting down. The salon seemed clean and everything in the place appeared to be nice and up to date. There were probably about 7 – 8 other people getting serviced in the salon when I arrived.
I told Samantha what I wanted and she exceeded my expectations. I could tell that she wanted my hair to look great and wasn’t rushing through the cut or anything. She checked with me through the process to make sure the cut was going how I wanted. She was very friendly and professional. I would highly recommend Samantha to anyone! Even the other stylists in the place seemed to be quality people, just from watching them with their clients.

Love this salon! I can’t say enough good things about J SALON… Jim is amazing at what he does. I never worry about how my hair is going to look when I leave, because it always looks great. Jim has been my stylist for 7 years, through my years with short hair and long. I am always very pleased with the way my hair looks whe Jim is finished… both cut and color. The salon is very relaxing, with a no-​drama atmosphere. The stylists are very professional and it truly is a relaxing experience. Hint… make your appointments in advance, it may take a few weeks to get in, but well worth the wait!

Monique was wonderful! She asked question to make sure we got exactly what we want. Gave great advice for hair care. The highlights she did look GREAT! We will definitely be back.

I was visiting from Cali to see my family, and decided I was in dire need of a cut and color while I was there.
I looked up J Salon on Unilocal,and made a appointment over the phone. I told the receptionist what color I was going for, and requested that she make sure I was with a stylist that could accomplish that look.
My stylist SAMANTHA was AWESOME! She had given me the exact cut I was asking for (without cutting too much off, which is what normally happens to me), and the color was SPOT ON! She gave me advise on what products to use in order to keep the color alive longer, but didn’t try to push me to buy the products off her shelf. The receptionist made the perfect decision to schedule her with me.
It was a great experience. I will definitely be back in November during my next trip out to Arizona.

I have been going to Monica for over 15 years. She is amazing and the J Salon is a great atmosphere. Thank you for the coffee and cookies.

If you’re looking for a great salon, look no further. J’s Salon has a unique atmosphere, with friendly and talented stylists. I was refered to J’s salon when my stylist moved to Prescott and am I ever glad I was, I only wish I’d had gone sooner!
I’ve been going to Tina for years and my hair has never looked or felt better. On every visit I am treated as a valued client and leave loving my cut and color.
I have to admit I have had some real hair disasters in the past so I tend to be a little stressed. However, Tina always listens to exactly what I want and has never failed to deliver! Tina is truly a master stylist.
The staff at J’s Salon are always friendly, and more than accommodating. I have never waited more than five minutes. I’ve recommended J’s Salon to family and friends and everyone I know has been thrilled with their hair and their experience at the Salon.
I can’t think of enough great things to say about J’s Salon — it is truly a Salon that cares about their clients.

I’m not one to write a review but after my experience today at J Salon I decided to make an exception. After having a horrible Ombré experience at Toni & Guy– Arrowhead I decided to look online for a color correction and found Claudine from J Salon. I made an appointment with her that same day and after our consultation she recommended re-​doing my ombré. She also recommended making an appointment in the week since the process would take a couple of hours and she had her afternoon booked. After telling her my schedule restrictions for the next 2 weeks she offered to come in early on her day off the following day to fix my hair since she did not want me to go another 2 weeks with my ridiculous hair color. When I walked in the following morning she greeted me with a smile and immediately offered me something to drink. She then took me to her station and started working. The whole process went smooth and Claudine kept me updated throughout the whole process. The staff and owners greeted me with smiles and made me feel at home the entire time I was there. I am completely happy with my results. Claudine went above and beyond my expectations given my recent experience at Toni & Guy. She goes that extra mile and gets to know her clients as individuals and adds her artistic style to each hair transformation. If you are looking for Ombré hair and want it done right the first time go to Claudine Callaway! I wish I would have!

Moved here from Boston and funnily my very favorite Hairdresser Vedrana moved to the Phoenix Area too, I am very picky with Haircuts and know a good one when I see it.
Make sure you book an Appointment with Vedrana, she has Years of Experience up her Sleeve and special Cutting Techniques that I haven’t even seen
in Germany/​Europe (where I am originally from) !!!
I am from the Scottsdale Area and I have the Choice of a handful
of great Hair salons in the Area, but Hands down, they can’ t cut like her!!!
The Salon is very very clean and I felt relaxed right away, the Atmosphere is incredibly calming and almost Spa like.
5 Stars because Vedrana is the best & because the J Salon has a new Fan :)

Absolutely trust Jim Le at J Salon.
I have long hair (waist length) and get a cut and color of highlights and lowlights, plus covering those pesky grays that are sneaking in. I used to be terrified to get my hair done as they’d cut off more than I wanted and oh the horror stories on color. When Jim first did my hair approximately five years ago, mentioned my concerns. He listened and I’ve never had to remind him. I can sit in his chair and say do what’s looks best and always walk away with my hair looking incredible. Highly recommend Jim Le.

Highly recommend Suzie Q. I had gone in here one time before and had a woman named Yo-​Lee? She butchered my hair, I left with so much product in my hair it almost looked dirty! And the whole time she was yammering very depressingly about cancer I almost wanted to leave mid haircut, She even decided to take it upon herself to give me bangs and they were way short, crooked and started closer to the back of my head than the front! I wasn’t coming back! But then I was referred to Suzie. She does an amazing job! I am always happy with the cut and the style and she’s so fun to chat with while she’s doing your hair. She takes the time to make sure she really understands what you want and does it right. I recommend Suzie, you will not be disappointed :)
