This has been a day care facility for over 20 years, under various other names. We purchased the business in 1997 and have been operating the business as Downtown Child Care Center continuously since then.

Meet the Business Owner

Barbara T.

Business Owner

Barbara has been a teacher and/​or supervisor/​director for close to 38 years in both Illinois and Indiana. Her primary focus has been on children under the age of 6 years old. She has worked at several Peoria day care centers along with a short period with PSD 150. Barb worked for a number of years at the current day care center before purchasing it from the former owner in 1997. She has numerous hours of child care development courses to her credit along with her vast experience in educating young children.
