Dave Zumbek Photography started as a hobby turned business. Dave decided to expand his passion for photography by working with Peoria area bands. Dave was formerly in a local area band and realized the need for high quality, professional photography of bands in action. Due to Dave’s relationship with several area bands, he was able to book initial photo gigs quickly. He then began to expand his photography offerings after being contacted about portrait, group shoots, and eventually, weddings. This led to the present state and focus of Dave Zumbek Photography.

Dave has a passion for creativity in many forms. He attended Bradley University from 2000 – 2004, initially as an Engineer. Dave then realized he wanted to do something more creative with his life and entered the Multimedia Program. During his time in the program, Dave studied Graphic Design, Web Design & Development, Audio & Video Production, and Photography. After taking both photojournalism and digital photography classes, Dave discovered one of his passions.

Upon graduation from Bradley, Dave began a multimedia development career at a large Peoria area business. It wasn’t until 2008 that Dave was able to integrate photography into his day job. He started with a few small photo shoots for print and web material he was creating, which then led to directing a few photo shoots for larger promotions. This inspired Dave to become a serious photographer and led to the start of Dave Zumbek Photography.
