The Village Grounds is Pentwater’s only full service coffeehouse. We offer all your favorite espresso based drinks (hot, iced or blended) freshly ground and brewed gourmet coffees and over 40 organic loose leaf teas. We bake from scratch, in house, and serve delicious sandwiches, wraps, salads and soup. We are only open seasonally.

History

Established in 2004.

We opened The Village Grounds is 2004 hoping to provide Pentwater with a great cup of coffee. We have become a destination stop and Pentwater’s only full service coffeehouse. Stop in and try some of our customer’s favorites, like the Caramel Crème Latte, our famous Michigan Chicken Cherry wrap or one of our unforgettable scones baked from scratch in house.

Best Coffee in Pentwater!
We have been going to VG ever since it opened, and we look forward to sipping their coffee every time! Their espresso specialties are fantastic, our favorites are the Mocha and Caramel Crème Latte (similar to Starbucks Caramel Macchiato but a million times better).
If you’re in town, be sure to give them a try. Grab one of their loyalty cards too, but 9 drinks get the 10th one free :)

This place was so slow, It prompted me to join Unilocal and post my first review. The day we were there, it was just teenagers working the counter and they didn’t seem to have any concern about getting customers served. After being third in line for ten minutes, we finally moved up to second. This was because the guy ahead of us gave up and left. Five minutes later, we did the same thing. So, unfortuntely, we have no comment as to the food or coffee since we were not able to try either.

Great coffeebar for such a small town, great sandwiches and good coffee. Not a lot of space though, but you can sit in the park at the other side of the road if you want to.

This is my new favorite place to hang out! Their selections of coffees and teas are impressive for this big little town. The service is excellent, goodies are made from scratch, and free WiFi is available! While you’re there, buy your Pentwater t-​shirt! It’s the coolest, least cheesy souvenir :) More space would get them that fifth star!
