The portebella fries are very good. I orders the seared tuna salad which was delicious. My husband got the crab cake BLT and really enjoyed that, as well as the Cajun Mac n cheese and gumbo

Fair. Not horrible. Although shrimp and corn soup was cold (not supposed to be) and absolutely flavorless – that soup was awful! Sweet, spicy shrimp appetizer sweet but not spicy at all. Shrimp not hot. Flavor OK. Husband had pastrami melt – not hot but he said it was a good sandwich, and he had onion rings with it that he said were absolutely cold. I had fish wrap with cold slaw and black bean salsa – it was good. Sweet potato fries – hot and fine. Had bread pudding for dessert – it was good. Rescued this place from two stars. It was hot and sweet with nuts and we loved it.

I truly enjoyed my dinner here. The service was amazing and the food was excellent. I will definitely visit soon.

It’s a decent place to eat with friendly service, but we felt it was about $ 5 per entrée too expensive.
The special of the night was fried fish for $ 30!

We LOVE this place! Outstanding food, terrific service. This was the high point of our trip, food wise.
We were there on a Sunday and there were complimentary Mimosas! Janet was a terrific server, friendly and knowledgeable.

Only thing good about this place is the view of the front door as you leave it. Save your money and avoid this place. Polishing a turd comes to mind.

Bad, overpriced food. Bad: fried green tomatoes. Flavorless: gumbo. Good: wedge and Caesar salads: Acceptable but nothing more: grilled seafood platter.
Not recommended.

We went to Fishermans Corner based on the great reviews it has received. Overall, we were very disappointed.
First of all it is very much a hole in the wall kind of place. Very very casual. Although it was crowded on a Saturday night we were able to be seated right away. My wife and I both started with the Almost World Famous seafood gumbo. While it had large pieces of shrimp, it was mostly tasteless requiring a large amount of salt to bring out any flavor. For main dishes, my wife ordered the Creole Linguini which while ordered mild (can also be ordered spicy), was so spicy she could not eat it. I tried it and I agreed. We had to simply send it back. I had blackened grouper which was ok, bud again had very little flavor.
We then wanted to order dessert. We got the hard sell to order the bread pudding, wanted the fried cheesecake, which they were out of, and settled on a brownie with ice cream. It was a brownie with ice cream.
I would agree with one if the other reviews I read. This is an average or below fish restaurant selling at fine restaurant prices. There is nothing here to recommend.

Service was excellent. Brent was our server and was attentive and knowledgeable. Tried the portabella mushroom fries, delicious! Had the ultimate shrimp po boy with grilled shrimp, bacon, and sauce. Best po boy I have had in a long time. Definitely will return.

This small restaurant which boasts the mantra of «casual fine dining with a creole flair» completely succeeds.
The décor gives off mixed emotions of sitting in an upscale dining establishment – until you notice the prices and the parchment table cloth.
Prices are reasonable although by no means a super cheap experience.
I ordered the filet mignon and shrimp penne pasta. The portions were perfect and my 3 other dinner mates would agree their dishes were also amazing. Service was quick and kind with the classic southern flair expected of restaurants in the area.
My only complaint, and I’m nitpicking because there was really not much to complain about, would be the bench/​booth seating. The thin cushion used to pad the hard wood does little and takes some log adjusting to. If you choose to eat here (which I suggest you do) request to be seated at a table with chairs

My favorite restaurant in the Gulf Shores /​Orange Beach /​Pensacola area — hands down.
FC had a five course special menu for New Year’s Eve, and it did not disappoint. My review will be for these special options that may or may not be available on a regular basis.

I ate so much that I was absolutely miserable. It’s hard to rate the most remarkable items, but our favorites were definitely the Crab Bisque, Seared Tuna Appetizer, Bread Pudding and Dinner Rolls. I know it sounds funny to rate the rolls so highly, but they were astonishing. The kids’ chicken fingers were also very well done.
We missed having Dean wait on us — as he’s out of the country visiting family, but Grace did a great job. The entire staff was dressed up in white shirts, and the gentlemen wore ties.
I give Fisherman’s Corner my highest recommendation. Keep up the good work, guys!

Bread pudding alone is worth the trip here! It’s amazing. Food was great and would recommend our server, Josh.

This corner-​restaurant serves some delicious seafood. It’s hidden from the main road so it’s like you had to hear about this joint from word of mouth or the internet. Any way you end up here, you’re in for a decent Louisiana-​style meal. The service is excellent as is the food.
We ordered:
1) Portabella Mushroom Fries
The batter was perfect – not to strong/​soggy. However, I think I would have gathered tried to the oyster or fried green tomato appetizer.
2) Ultimate Shrimp Po-​Boy
The sauce they put on it was creamy/​tasty – get some mac n’ cheese on the side
3) Soft Shell Crab Seafood Dinner
Soft shell crabs are pretty amazing. It seems sort of mean when you eat them because it’s like one second they were alive, then the next second their fried in batter stuck in the position they were while their souls were still in their body.
The man n’ cheese could be better. It honestly just wasn’t that good. Nonetheless, this is a great little gem in Perdido Key and recommend checking it out when you’re in the mood for seafood.

Just came for some appetizers. Food was very good. Not being from around the water I have never had real calamari before. We got the fried calamari and the fried pickles.
The waitress, however, was not really attentive. She was nice but we were the only ones at the restaurant and she couldn’t seem to remember our drinks.

Don’t be fooled by the location, or the slightly odd situation when you are waiting for a table (plastic cup of wine, anyone?). This place is quite possibly the best restaurant in the area, and then some. Amazing service, but the food. Dear lord. It’s a combination of southern comfort and creole and coastal goodness — and as a former NOLA resident, I’m telling you, this place pulls it off in a way that few can.
We had four adults, and got a little carried away with the appetizers (so much that we didn’t make it to dessert). Fried green tomatos were perfection; the spicy oysters were a bit heavy for me but others loved; the BBQ shrimp are both an entrée and an app, and quite yummy. Oh, and if you have room, the shrimp and corn chowder.
For entrees, they certainly are on par with anything on the seafood plate, but they really stand out on dishes like shrimp and grits, Etoufee, and the pork chop.

At first I was a little creeped by the outward appearance of the restaurant. Then bummed, no liquor. But once we sat down all of that faded… The aroma itself of the place was enough to put you on cloud9! The steak was perfect. Medium rare. They only had enough rice planned out for the specials but I begged and pleaded and they finally let me have it with my steak. Zucchini and squash were cooked to perfection. Waitress was amazing, very informative and accommodating. They were out of mussels though!!! The lobster mac and cheese was to die for! And another appetizer I can’t remember what it was but all of it was absolutely scrumptious! You better believe this chick got a badass tip!

Girlfriend and I came here for dinner after searching for the best local spots to eat (we’re from VA). As we pulled up it looked kind of sketchy, but inside was nice and welcoming. The staff was polite and our waiter Shawn was awesome! We chose to sit outside even though it was a little chilly, and Shawn offered us a small propane heater which made a huge difference.
The food was AMAZING… Everything was good, we got the fried pickles for an appetizer, and both got Creole Linguine, she got mild and I got spicy. I could have gotten 2 plates! I read a review about the bread pudding and decided we would force it down even though we were both stuffed but man it was worth it!
If you don’t visit here, you’re missing out on some amazing food! We will definitely be back!

Our #1 place in Pensacola. We lived about a mile away, and would go probably twice a month over three years. Don’t let the outside fool you, this is a southern white tablecloth kind of place without the huge price tag. Little secret: Sunday Brunch.
Food: This is it.
— Get the porkchop. Crazy, but it might be the best meal in the city.
— Other great picks: Grouper specials, chicken parm, fried green tomatoes, creole linguini, or Cioppino. Shrimp and Grits entrée is great, but it’s different than you think it is. Grit ball.
— Save room for bread pudding, doesn’t matter how good your entrée is, do it.
— Wine list is one of the best; pretty inexpensive for some great stuff. Don’t finish your bottle? This is Florida, take it home.
Service: Also some of the best in Pensacola. We always loved their staff. Side story, went to send a friend off who was moving over the winter; nobody was there, and it’s late. Three year old has a meltdown. Mom & Dad are struggling, staff comes to the rescue and distracts three year old by tracing her on the floor with crayons and butcher paper. We owe them for that one.
Cons: Can get really busy in summer, wait times can get long. No American Express. Limited reservations, only on the hour.

Had lunch in the porch overlooking the high bridge and the lot in front of the canal. It has a nice, quaint country décor and an interesting menu. I highly recommend the Cajun Mac n Cheese as an appetizer. It is currently priced as a $ 3 side. It comes in a rarebit with macaroni, cheeses, bits of sausage and Cajun spices. It has just enough spice to balance perfectly with the dairy. If you’re a spice whimp who gets knocked down by a floating pepper particle, the Cajun Mac n Cheese isn’t for you.
The Shrimp and Corn Chowder had a grainy texture but was delicious. The Jim’s Spicy Oysters was too soupy for my wife so I traded her my Fried Gumbo Salad. The Spicy Oysters were superb. Imagine a Maryland Oyster Stew topped with parmesan, seasoned with garlic and hot peppers and baked until the cheese forms a crust around the sides. It was, well, superb. Did I already say that? The Fried Gumbo Salad was good but needed a better accompaniment than the Remoulade dipping sauce. The menu describes the salad dressing as a Creole sauce. A more pourable dressing would have blended the fried proteins and greens together. Instead, it ate more like an appetizer of fried oysters, shrimp, okra, and crawfish that you dip in Remoulade; an appetizer over greens. Most of the greens went uneaten. Andouille sausage would have been a nice touch to round out the Gumbo flavors.
Service was excellent. Janet was a thorough server. It’s a good sign when they introduce themselves and write their name on the paper on the table… and it IS their name. Lunch with one Jackomo IPA by Abita, the cup soup and appetizer, two entrees, was $ 20 per person with 20+% tip. Not bad.
