Business Owner

Starting when our children were old enough to start a 4-​H project, we have simply grown from there. Our daughter started with a sheep project and our son started with a beef project. From there we have expanded and have a flock of sheep, a herd of beef cattle, several hundred fryer chickens and about 400 layer hens. Adding the pigs was a bit of a different direction, but our customers have been happy with the outcome of the pork. Nothing seems to go to waste around our place!

We have a couple days each year that we invite our customers to visit and see what we do. We have even bbq’d up some samples of our products and it is always a joy to see people tasting lamb for the first time, then coming back for seconds.

We offer a monthly delivery of our products to a variety of locations, including the Tahoe and Truckee area. We aim to bring the Farmers Market theme to our customers that aren’t able to get our products directly from our location in Penryn

What an open place, veryvery few farms let anyone see what goes on, and Sinclair doesn’t hide because they don’t need too! 100% Grass-​fed animals (nearly impossible to find too) and GREAT prices! We have had Beef, Pork, and Chicken from them and have been very happy every time! I bring my 5 y/​o with me and there has never been any problem (probably because he respects peoples things as children should). It is a REAL farm with REAL dangers if the rules aren’t followed. Karen has been NOTHING but AMAZING and she goes way beyond most in how she treats people.
So Thank you Sinclair farms for caring about my family! I tell anyone that wants clean quality meats that they need to go to Sinclair!

We have been purchasing Sinclair’s meat for quite awhile now and it is delicious. THE BEST LAMB you can find in the Sacramento region, bar none. The prices are great and their meat buyers club is the best way to get farm fresh and locally produced products with no hassle. You just go to their website/​meat buyers club and click on the order form. You choose what you want and how often, it is NOT DICTATED TO YOU like so many other wine, fruit, cheese and CSA baskets/​clubs operate. We try to get a delivery every month, but when we are vacation or out of town, it’s nice to know we don’t have too.
Recently the hamburger we purchased made the family reunion BBQ a success– everyone raved, even the picky ones! It was the quality of the beef. Thanks Sinclair Family Farm!

Sinclair Family Farm is the real deal! Great people who really care about what they do. I have been to their farm and ranch and have experienced all the ins and outs of their business. I order from them and others in the Co-​op they lead and all of the food is of excellent quality and the taste is awesome! My name is Michelle and I have known the Sinclair Family for about 8 years now. When my now teenage boys were younger Karin had them help with sheep. They learned to band the boys and how to tag the ears. They are city boys through and through but even now they still talk about days working with Karin. These are memories of a lifetime. I am thankful for. I have also participated in a few farm days. I love watching the excitement of the kids and even though I have seen the sheep herding over 100 times it’s still a fantastic job done by the dogs! If you ever have the chance to go to a farm day you will learn so much in a short time!

I myself have visited the farm and there were chickens running everywhere, lambs that looked so happy eating constantly and hanging out with the working dogs they even let me visit the baby pigs. The owner is so helpful when ever I want to order any thing she is always available to help wether it be large amount of meat for a special occasion or a new recipe i want to try Karin the owner and is always so helpful with ideas or how to cook a certain cut. The farmers markets they do weekly are so convenient and they always have what i need and have my orders ready the next week when i need them. Their eggs are always so fresh my deviled eggs are always the hit at any get together so if anyone is asking i’ll put my name behind them always.
