In addition to our creative (& large) Omelettes, Creamed Chip Beef, Pulled Pork, Roast Turkey & our famous Chicken Salad are a few of our fan favorites. Discounts are offered during the week to senior citizens and emergency responders. The Valley Café provides free WiFi and welcomes groups. To be fair, the salad I had at Valley Café was well prepared and generously sized. The place is inviting and the service attentive.
But it holds the promise of something more: from its appearance, it looks like it should be one of those new midscale-​casual brunch places with really good coffee, slightly elevated prices but at least a dozen creative things on the menu. You know what I’m talking about: the sort of fashionably off-​kilter places that have lines out the door on weekend mornings. They’re popping up like mushrooms because everyone loves a casual-​chic breakfast now and then.
And that’s where Valley Café disappoints. It looks like it should offer an asparagus strata or a pumpernickel pancake. But really it’s just standard Sesame Street family fare that happens to close at 2pm most days. The menu is large and completely run-​of-​the-​mill. Coffee is potable but nothing remarkable. And yet the prices are generally on par with the aforementioned.
While you the consumer can do better, what’s more important is that Valley Café – which does everything just fine – can probably do better too. Which would probably help it compete with Average Joe’s Flapjacks or Quentin’s Quirky Kitchen… whichever one it decides to be.

Love this place for breakfast! So quick and good. Never had anything here I didn’t like; I’ve had omelets, pancakes, breakfast sandwiches and even a tuna melt. All were good. The only thing I hate is there is no waiting area so in the winter it’s hard to go there since you have to wait outside for a table! The owner is there all the time too so you know it’s a home town place. Good people and good food. Excellent combination.

Our return visit for breakfast confirmed our past experiences here. The restaurant is well lighted, clean, and cheery. Our server was most pleasant, efficient, and professional. The food for breakfast can be best described as «okay,» nothing distinctive about anything on the menu. They serve typical diner fare down to the usual frozen potatoes that have been thawed, reheated and served. We would go out of our way for good, in-​house prepared potatoes. The prices here are on the high side so the least that they could do is have more freshly prepared items. Ho-​hum.

What wonderful staff they have there! We travelled to East Greenville from the Eastern Shore of Virginia for a baby shower. We stopped to get a bite to eat and I felt faint as I was waiting for my food. I got dizzier and dizzier and finally I fainted. The waitress was on hand to catch me and someone else rushed over with a cool cloth. What great service! I wonder if they train their employees just for this eventuality! They called 911 and the EMTs arrived in just a few minutes. By that time I had revived and they checked me out. The owner made sure I was comfortable and refused to take any money for our meals. My husband had finished his meal and he reported that his eggs were wonderful. This is definitely a full service operation!

This place is pretty amazing! I usually always get the SOS (cream chipped beef) and grits with cheddar cheese in it, haven’t been disappointed yet. My little girl loves the pancakes and French toast. I don’t think we ever had anything bad yet. And the service is actually good unless you get a beginner waiter/​waitress but there all experienced there and very nice. I come back every weekend.

Best breakfast in the Pennsburg area! The ommlettes are what really set it apart from the rest. They make their hash browns on the mushy side so have to ask for extra crispy and they come out perfect. You get a carafe of good coffee at your table so you don’t have to keep asking. Gets really crowded and not everything is perfect but darn close.

The food & the service are Mediocre at best. They have anything you would desire. Great menu but they don’t take care in preparing the food. The hash browns are soggy fried onions to big chunks almost raw. The waffles are hard. The pancakes not done. This place could be so much better if they would just try.

It was a frigid Friday and snow gracefully decorated my red locks of hair as I entered into the Valley Café for an early lunch. I was excited to see the special was fish and chips so I ordered a Barbeque Cheddar Burger with french fries. Much to my surprise when my friendly waitress flew out of the kitchen minutes later with my order and a smile. As I ravished my plate of food, the owners came over and introduced themselves and engaged in friendly conversation. While my waitress was busy, others came over to ensure I was alright. The food was scrumptious and as a single person, I was treated with dignity and not pity. I hope to become a frequent customer of the establishment.
