Union Line Garage

I’ve been to this garage twice now since I moved to the area. This is definitely my new go-​to shop for my VW. The staff is professional, friendly, honest and the prices are reasonable. I would recommend if you’re looking for a trusted shop to bring your car.

Those folks are going to find so much wrong with your vehicle that you are better off donating it to your favorite charity ASAP. Princeton BMW repair bill was $ 499, Union Line estimate for the problem came to $ 2400. Estimate for rear lights plates installation came to $ 399. The cost of OEM part is $ 110 and it takes two screws to attaché it. Go figure!

These guys know how to do it right. We had some extensive work done on our vehicle a while ago and there was this nagging oil light indicator light that kept coming on. They just replaced the wiring harness to this unit (under warranty) and all seems to be working well. They were always very accommodating and have always exercised great customer service at all touch points. We will continue to be loyal customers.

Finally we have found a reliable and honest car mechanic. Both me and my husband take our cars to them. They know us in person and are extremely courteous. They even helped us purchase a used car (including price negotiation)! We have been going there for the last 4 years or so and have even recommended them to our friends. Extremely positive experience!

Very happy with outcome! What great customer service and I felt that an update to correct my previous review should be done. So right after the review I received a call from the owner (Brett) regarding the concerns I wrote about. I never expected the owners to call or contact me so this was a surprise. He explained in detail what they did to the car after looking at my file and discussing with the mechanic and service adviser. He even called a BMW dealer to compare the price of the battery and ibs cable and yes UL price was less expensive. There’s not alot of businesses that go above and beyond and Union Line Garage does just that. I really appreciate how they call and connect unlike the big box garages (your just a number). I am now a 100% loyal client and highly support and recommend them.

Service was friendly and professional. I was totally taken back by their prices. Their prices were exactly the same as my mercedez dealer. They also told me about a oil leak that was to cost me 500 $+ which when diagnosied with another mechanic I was told they could not find any trace of oil. I will use them with caution and also benchmark their rates to a dealer. there is no reason for them to charge par rates as a dealer. their explanation was that they have experienced mechanics hence their prices should be same. I don’t buy that.

Great service, extremely knowledgeable and professional staff; very reasonable prices as well. They fixed my car quickly and didn’t try to oversell me on something I didn’t need. They also provide loaners which is a huge plus.

I needed a garage with Saab repair expertise and courtesy shuttle service so I took my old Saab to Union Line. They did a thorough evaluation of the car and I realized it wasn’t worth the repair cost. So when I bought a used BMW I took it to Union Line for a pre-​sale check up and made the purchase with the assurance that I was buying a solid car.
Everyone at Union Line is very professional and even though I was a new customer Matthew and Jonathan were always willing to take my phone calls and provide advice on selection of another car. I feel very confident that my new car will receive the best possible service at Union Line!

From the moment the gentleman at Union Line answer the phone to the moment you’re getting your keys and heading off of their property, satisfaction, comfort, trust, and respect, are the impressions you will walk away with. These guys are as honest and straightforward as they come and the integrity of their work speaks for itself.
In my personal experience I felt like Jonathan and Matthew always made me feel incredibly welcome and allowed me to feel comfortable in sharing all of my questions comments and concerns. No matter how many times I called! And I can be pretty persistent! They will go out of their way to make sure that you’re taking care of even if they are not going to gain anything additional from from that effort.
I brought my car there for repairs knowing that it was probably going to be the last investment I made on that vehicle before selling it and Jonathan even went so far as to suggest I call him in the future to run ideas past him with my hunt for a new car. They bring it to a personal level and that feeling you get knowing that this wasn’t just about your car but also about connecting with their customers, cannot be overstated.
It is so very rare to find people that take this much pride in what they do and also in the service they provide to you as a person. Although their work is impeccable, the most startling aspect of the experience really lies in their ability to make you feel secure, taken care of, respected, and cared for. Even when there’s nothing in it for them they will go out of their way to help you out. That’s just the type of people they are. Give them a try and you will not be disappointed.

These guys are the real thing, true professionals. They are highly skilled, extremely reasonable in price, easy to communicate with and most importantly honest.

Phenomenal customer service, solid repairs and free loaner cars. Prices are competitive. A great dealer alternative.
I did have one situation where I paid $ 400 to repair the heat in my 20-​year-​old vehicle. When I got it back, the heat still wasn’t working. We were headed out of town so I didn’t call Union Line until a few weeks later to say the repair did not work. I brought the car back in and they quoted me another $ 400 to fix it. I said I’d just paid $ 400. They checked with the owner and ended up redoing the repair for free and I also got a loaner. Good outcome. Other places will argue with you and say the first repair did work even when you know it didn’t. These guys were straight with me.

Friendly service but prices were not what I would expect from a non-​dealer. Service was slow, I was told my vehicle would be ready that same day but it wasn’t even looked at until late in the afternoon so obviously work wasn’t going to be completed until the following day.

Courteous, professional, speedy… I have NEVER had a bad experience with these folks! They’ve worked on everything from my old Taurus to my Maserati, and the service has always been exemplary. The most recent example? An «emergency» repair of the muffler/​exhaust/​cat on my Mercury Sable WITHOUT an appointment and, virtually same day. They even offered to take the car for state inspection when they noticed it was due. They’ve taken the time to communicate with me every step of the way, and always ask if I need a ride. (And, one amusing note… their building on Broad Street is the one Tim Robbins worked in in the move «IQ» with Walter Matthau and Meg Ryan!)

Union Line Garage. knows what customer service is about! From the no pressure interactions to the knowledge helpful staff, they get it. They offer a courtsey shuttle service to get you to home/​work as well as timely updates on your repairs. As a female, service shops often try to put one over on you including Dealer Service shops. Not Union LIne, they thoroughly explain as well as recommend options. They don’t up sell repairs rather do what’s necessary. Kyle was excellent… who couldn’t have been more pleasant.
Finally, the getting a auto repaired doesn’t feel like going to the dentist!
