History
Established in 1907.
Francis Bartlett, the founder of our Company, graduated from the agricultural college at the University of Massachusetts in 1905. After teaching horticulture at the Hampton Institute in Virginia, for two years, in 1907 he founded the F. A. Bartlett Tree Expert Company.
«America’s Trees are Worth Saving.» is the slogan that Mr. Bartlett created for the Company to reflect the Company’s purpose … providing preventive care that would assure good health, longevity and beauty for his clients’ trees.
In addition to our client services, we are well known in the tree care industry for our research laboratory. By 1927 there was enough scientific work in progress to warrant the establishment of the Bartlett Tree Research Laboratories. Our first facility was located in North Stamford, Connecticut and since 1965, on a large property in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Bartlett Tree Experts is an international tree care organization which has 85 offices in 26 states and 4 countries.
