History

Established in 2003.

At JAVA-​GOURMET INC, we live, work and play against a backdrop of natural beauty. Overlooking Keuka Lake in New York, we are passionate about our company and the products we create! We established Keuka Lake Coffee Roasters in 2003 after moving here from Boston to start our business. Brian roasts all of our coffees to order. We small batch roast 100% Arabica beans, sourced from the country of origin.

In 2007, after the highly successful release of our Original JAVA RUBS, JAVA-​GOURMET was born. It is an award winning, artisanal, coffee-​based specialty food company. Our products are unique and delicious.

In 2011, we added a third product line, Seneca Salt Company. We locally source a culinary flake salt from ancient sea salt veins under Seneca Lake. Our offerings have grown from the Natural Seneca Salt to a line of infused salts and salt & chocolate barks.

Our award winning products are all small batch produced in our facility and are all natural, MSG and Gluten Free.

Business Owner

Brian and Susan met in February of 2003, he was already in the coffee industry in Boston. He soon learned that Susan loved coffee and he began trying to impress her with a variety of coffees he was specially roasting. When he delivered the Italian Espresso Blend, Susan realized that Brian had far too much talent and passion to be working for a big coffee company that did not appreciate his artisanal skills and set out to convince him that their destiny was not only to fall in love and start a life together, but to start a business together… the coffee business! The coffee business has grown into three unique business over the past eleven years with the addition of JAVA-​GOURMET and the Seneca Salt Company. Our life together has recently become a marriage and our business continues to grow and amaze us! We believe you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take. We encourage everyone to live the life they dream about. For us, the road less traveled has made all the difference.
