History

Established in 1998.

Paul and Annie began TuFFGrass in 1998 after searching for products for a personal putting green project lead us to the artificial grass options. We found an incredibly real looking chipping grass and installed it as a front lawn, and built a large putting green. From that point, we began designing and building for artificial turf and synthetic grass projects for people in the Sacramento and Sierra Foothills. Establishing ourselves as industry leaders — we also founded an installer trade association which brought best business practices, installation guidelines and trained others, from 2007.

Paul and Annie Costa are the co-​founders and owners of TuFFGrass — we have built our company, from day-​one, with hands-​on involvement — we both help out with project designs, estimates, installation and managing our incredible crews.
