At Pilot Peak Winery, we believe that wine should be enjoyed relaxing with food, family and friends.

Comparative Tasting is a private and relaxed tasting «method» that allows you to savor, compare and contrast each wine being tasted.

While enjoying our beautiful tiered, stone-​walled terraces, you will be able to sample a flight of our finest award-​winning wines served four-​at-​a-​time, in numbered glasses. The numbers on the glasses match the tasting notes provided to help guide you through this tasting EXPERIENCE.

A small plate of appetizers adds to the «Experience» and provides the opportunity to appreciate the delightful interactions created by the marriage of food and wine.

History

Established in 2004.

We established the winery in early 2004. The metal shop building was converted from a construction shop to a winery starting on July 6, 2004 and completed on August 29, 2004. 8 short weeks — Luckily, just in time for the first grapes to arrive (one of the earliest harvests on record).

We made 600 cases of wine that first year — which later sold out in record time (Cabernet Franc sold out in 1 day — The Viognier lasted about a week). We currently produce approx. 2500 cases.

The pictures on our website (www​.pilot​peak​.com) are of those early years with very few barrels and just dirt where the «tasting terraces» are today. Enjoy the look back in time and marvel with us at what we have become — it’s because of your support and friendship and we can’t thank you all enough for making this dream come true.

Jacque Wilson is Sales & Marketing, Purchasing & Finance, all Events, Tasting Room Sales & Planning, website, social media & IT, wine club manager, Controller

Len Stevens (Owner of Len Stevens Construction) is Facilities, Tasting Room sales and facility construction manager.

Nancy Stevens — pours wine and educates our guests every weekend down on the terraces.

Heather Blakemore — cash register Queen, and event/​volunteer coordinator.

Along with their families and friends — you will find them in the tasting room each weekend.
