Business Owner

Hi, I’m Laura, a natural light photographer based in Penn Valley, CA. Great photography is not just about taking great pictures; it’s about the people in those pictures, and their «life force.» Hazel moon photography was born from my desire to capture the real you, the beauty within. Life is full of special moments, and I love to find and photograph the beauty in these. Whether it’s a milestone like birth, graduation or engagement, or just another Tuesday, there is magic to capture.

I love finding the light. I love natural smiles. I love capturing love, and life, with my lens. I don’t just want to take your picture, I want to have fun during our session, laugh with you, and give you the most gorgeous images of you and your loved ones.

I currently live in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada’s with my husband, a pilot in the Air Force, and my 3 children. When I’m not taking photographs, I enjoy hiking, camping and creating new recipes for my food blog, The Spinach Spot.
