Richard, as this is turning out to be a he said she said I am just going to state this one last fact. I called your company to replace a broken fan motor in my a/​c unit, you told a client to do it yourself to save money. I tried to do it and it didn’t work, I asked you how much more is it going to cost to now fix it. You could have chosen to give me a fair price to come out to fix my problem but and I would have updated my review and your rating but instead You, Richard, chose to fly off the handle, threaten me, call me names and for some reason post my full name (which by the way really doesn’t bother me) and make accusations at me the client and customer. Bottom line is that my a/​c unit still does not work and you refuse, as you blocked my calls, to fix the problem. What happened to the customer is always right?
As a potential customer of Richard and ²⁴⁄₇ I guess you have to ask yourself is this the type of owner and company you want to do business with? In life things go wrong, it’s how you react to those things that show the true nature of someone. Good luck to you Richard and may God bless you.

Richard Parrish of ²⁴⁄₇ a/​c is scam of a one man company. I had Richard come out to check my a/​c unit and was given a ridiculous marked up price for a $ 35 capacitor that I later found our could be replaced for half the cost ²⁴⁄₇ was trying to rip me off for. There are a lot of other reputable a/​c companies out there I would avoid ²⁴⁄₇ and Richard Parrish like the plague. I am sure he has some customers that do not know any better and have paid Richard what he tries to get away with. Why anyone would do business with Richard Parrish and his one man business is beyond me.

There’s a new Super Hero in town and his name is Richie. Thank God my wife found his company on Unilocal and asked me to call him. Saturday night on Labor Day weekend and our AC stopped working. After I was able to bring my panic levels down to a normal state I went ahead and made the dreaded call. I was expecting the worse especially on a holiday weekend and all I could think was how much was this going to cost me. $$$$$ fairies kept jumping in and out of my head. As I started to tell him what I thought was the issue he assured me that he can probably figure out a solution right over the phone. I consider myself a little handy so I told him I would do whatever he recommended to figure out what were the next steps. A little tinkering on my end and half hour later he had found my issue without even being there. He mentioned that he had the part I needed (capacitor) in his truck at his home and if I wish I can go by there and pick it up. My luck that he lived approximately ten minutes away. I got in the car, got the capacitor and I installed it in the rain in about ten minutes. Yes you read it correctly, Rain, Saturday Night and a holiday weekend. Three strikes against me but before I knew it the AC was purring like a kitten. This could have been so much worse but we are sure glad that he was able to take care of us without it costing us a second mortgage. So if you were to ask me if I recommend 24 Seven the answer is a simple Yes. Actually I am so pleased that we found Richie that I am thinking of installing a giant search light in my back yard with the ²⁴⁄₇ Logo on it for future emergency AC issues. Go ahead and call him, you will be pleased.

I called Richard when I experienced some problems with my compressor turning off.
When he came over he made it very clear that he spent a long time driving down to Miami and that he was in a rush. He took a look at my unit and recommended changing out a high pressure controller switch.
I paid Richard 1.5 hours, even though he was only in my apartment for 40 minutes or so, because I felt at the time that he was knowledgeable and it was supposedly worth paying for the quality.
He called in the pressure control switch, and I picked it up, and with some texting from him ended up installing the switch myself.
The high pressure controller switch did not solve my problem with the compressor not turning on — though I agree it needed to be changed out.
I spent some looking through my AC manual, and figured out how to put my unit into ‘test mode’ to read the last code that faulted the system. Turns out it was actually the low pressure controller causing the problem.
I called Richard back and he:
1) Refused to come back down before I even got a sentence out
2) Did not listen to the fact that my issue was not solved and that it turned out not being the high pressure controller.
3) Was rude and hung up on me.
I was extremely dissatisfied with the service I received because I paid Richard in excess of the time he was actually in my unit, picked up parts from the store myself, and ended up installing the switch myself. I have no problem paying money if my problems are solved, but if they are not solved, I think the person who diagnoses the issue needs to see it through until the end.
There is really nothing more frustrating then getting someone out to your AC unit, paying them money, and having them bail out halfway b/​c the problem is a bit more complicated than they expected.
Richard’s service may be fine if you are located close by to his shop, if you’re problem is very simple, and if he happens to be in a good mood that day. But if it’s a complicated problem, and he happens to have a lot of service calls, or he’s in a bad mood, he’ll bail out and accuse you of having an attitude or some other ridiculousness.
I ended up calling another company in the area (Tasco) who put some more R410 in my unit and solved the problem.

Reply to Richard’s comments:
1) Yes, we agree that the high pressure controller needed to be replaced.
2) Normally the person who is getting paid (you) orders and installs the controller. I did this and paid you regardless, b/​c my main concern was getting the unit fixed in a timely fashion.
3) ‘Test Mode’ indicated it was the low pressure controller. I know its convenient to blame me, but the reality is, you didn’t spend enough time in my unit to properly diagnose the problem. There was no R410 leak.
4) Regarding the conversation we had, you called me and then suddenly had a meeting to go to 2 minutes into the call — which is weird. Basically the only reason for the call was to state that you wouldn’t support your initial work with a follow up visit.
BOTTOM LINE: When you start a job, you need to finish it. All the excuses in the world won’t change the fact that my AC was still not working after placing in the high pressure controller.

24 Seven AC is one of the only companies I have used in a very long time that has great customer and service and great prices. Usually I find that it is one or other great service high price or bad service low price. These guys are amazing. truly a pleasure to do business with I work in the customer service industry and can only hope my customers feel this way when they are done doing business with me. Called them early on a Sunday and they had my AC back up and running faster than my wife and I could ever imagine. Great Company will be recommending to everyone I know. Woke up from a nap due to the temperature in my home being hot in the afternoon, got in touch with a couple of ac techs from craigslist one who actually came out and said that my issue was the compressor; the individual did not seem to sure about himself so I ended up paying his fee and going back online searching ac repair in my area. I found 24sevenac off of Google which had great reviews, contacted them and after taking down my info they came right out and checked the issue; they showed me that the reason the compressor was getting hot and shutting off was due to old cabling which they replaced and stayed out for more than the necessary time to make sure the unit stayed running.

Call them, they were overbooked and couldn’t come until the next day, but were very helpful over the phone directing me on what to do to fix my problem. And it worked. Very good customer service

I came home last Friday from work and my AC was not working. I started calling numbers on Unilocal,but everyone was either closed for the day or completely booked up. I hit the jackpot when I called 24 Seven Air Conditioning and Refrigeration. Richie told me that he had a number of calls and couldn’t make it to my house, but that he would certainly help me. Richie was on the phone with me for a number of hours walking me through troubleshooting the problem with my AC. He went as fas as to Skype with me to make sure I did everything correctly. Not only did Richie help me fix my AC, but he had a part at his home that he allowed me to pick up because I wouldn’t have been able to get one until Monday from an AC store. I would highly recommend calling no one but 24 Seven AC for any of your AC needs. Richie went above and beyond anything I’ve ever experienced.

Kind & honest. I was definitely willing to spend money to fix this crappy A/​C I have but the fact that he offered to help and advise over the phone without any ridiculous service charge speaks volumes to his character. In a field that seems to be riddled with scam artists willing to do anything to get you to pay more, this was a refreshing experience and I would definitely hire Richie for any future work.

I didn’t actually use 24 seven cause my husband had called someone and I didn’t know it. But, Rich the owner called to make sure I got it fixed and got a fair price along with letting me know that if I need anything to give him a call and he’d be more than to try and help me even if it’s something he can just walk me through over the phone. I was so impressed with the fact that he called for nothing more than to make sure I got it fixed and to let me know if he can help he will. He also gave me advice on how to prevent the problem I had! That’s going above and beyond even though I didn’t use his company! If I could give 10 stars I would. Thank you Rich!

It’s Memorial Day Weekend & I come back from a month long trip to a house with a broken AC. I had this place bookmarked for at least a year in the event I ever needed them based on previous reviews. I called and Richie walked me through a few steps to see if I could fix the issue myself. This was a plus on his part and that’s where the good customer service ends.
When I called back to advise that what he suggested wasn’t the problem, he said they would have to come out. He wasn’t sure if they could make it today so he’d see what he could do and call me back. Since I was gone for over a month, I decided to get out the HOT house and go to the post office for a package and get something to eat. As I’m pulling out of my driveway, Richie calls back to say they can come within the next 30 minutes. Awesome! Since I hadn’t eaten all day and the post office was 10 minutes away, I decided to run out and complete my errands that I could finish in 30 minutes.
As I’m paying for my food, Richie calls to say that he’s outside of my house. This was right at the 30 minute mark. I explained I was 5 minutes away and would be heading there now. Well, how dare I not sit at home waiting on Richie to show up. He informed me that he had a busy day and that he was doing me a favor by squeezing me in and he didn’t have time to be sitting around waiting. I told him he could walk around to look at the unit in the meantime but as I was speaking, he hung up. Maybe he didn’t hear me speaking? I gave him the benefit of the doubt and I called back. He answered in a huff and I repeated the same thing back to him about going around back. He informed me he needed to go into the house and that going to look at the unit wouldn’t help. He started scolding me again about leaving when he told me he would be there in 30 minutes. I told him he could leave since I was clearly wasting his time so he left.
As I am turning the corner, whose van do I see pulling out of the main street that leads to my house? None other than ²⁴⁄₇ Air Conditioning. I understand that time is valuable and that you’re busy but I’ve never heard of a service person not waiting on a customer when they say they’re legitimately on the way to them. As a result, he lost my business and any referral that I would ever sent his way. Instead, I had the unit outside replaced by another company that same weekend so in the end, I was received the service needed and it was done in a respectful manner.
No need to reply or add to my review here, Richie. No one needs your explanation as to why you were rude to me or the reason you couldn’t wait. This isn’t spam and I’m not overreacting or blowing the story of out of proportion. Even with that said, I know you’ll still comment to defend your actions. You can continue to do business in that fashion. It may work for some but it certainly doesn’t fly with me.

I cannot think of strong enough words to express how AMAZING Richie is.
When our AC stopped working, we had to laugh for a moment. My fiancée knew she would have to replace the AC at some point (from the inspection when she bought the house — no one thought it would last as long as it did), but for the air to stop working when it did, couldn’t have been worse timing — within the past two weeks we have had to shell out a lot for termites and a roof leak. Thanks to the Unilocal reviews, we tried Richie because he sounded like an honest person. That doesn’t even begin to describe it.
No one was available to come out today because of a few other projects, but Richie walked me through an entire process, starting around 2pm (we turned everything off so it could all defrost), and finally helping me with re-​wiring a defective relay unit. On the phone. I would text him a picture and he’d call immediately to walk me through the next steps.
Right now we have a temporary fix (and a cold AC!), but Richie is going to order the parts we need right to our house so we can take care of it (with his help, of course!). $ 10 – 20 for parts, vs. hundreds to have had someone come out at least twice.
Ultimately we do need to replace the entire unit, and I’m not even bothering with price-​comparison or estimates. 24 Seven is the only option. This man is not only a genius in his trade, but a genuine, honest, good person. That’s more than I thought I could even ask for.

Poor service… i just called in order to have service… and they told me, we cannot go because we have a lot of call. No problem, il could wait tomorrow… but he asked me where I am… and. again…no possibility! We are at about 20 minutes from Pembrooke pines!

Update: faced with a silent air-​conditioner 2 years later; decided to call Richie again. Not only did he remember us but he was able to talk me through the solution to our problem in no time. I just wanted to reiterate how happy I am with their service and customer service.

My 12 year old unit stopped working last week. I thought it was time for a new one and could only see$$$!! Instead, Richard shows up, on time with a 15 min courtesy call saying he’s on the way and replaces a burned out wire, compressor contact and combo cap. Less than $ 200. Honest, punctual and courteous. What else can you ask for.

I just had a WOW customer service experience, yes, just like a Disney experience. First of all Richard is excited about his work, he loves it, and you can hear when you talk to him. He is very considerate with his customers when it comes to charging for his services. When we called him we had no idea what was wrong with our AC, after explaining to him the situation, he gave us directions on what to do to see if the problem could be fixed without incurring any charges. Actually all he asked us to do on the phone worked and our AC was fixed for free. Richard could have charged us at least a couple of hundred dollars but he didn’t. I am so thankful for his honesty and the savings. We will definitely call him for our AC needs, and will recommend him to our family and friends.

While other companies were saying in needed to change the unit and we’re chagrin me over 3000 dlls, he said it only needed to be cleaned! Very happy with this service.

You can’t be serious… there are still trustworthy A/​C guys in this world? The answer to that is YES! Here we go… I’m in that vulnerable state of mind, this is Florida with temperatures reaching past 90 degrees and my A/​C is acting up, I mean at this point I’m ready to pay whatever it cost to get over this. After reading the reviews for this company, I was crossing my fingers that they were all true. I spoke with Richard who immediately asked me what was going on, I explained the situation and he then walked me through the process of what I needed to do which ultimately worked!
No fee’s involved just a good and honest guy who wants to help. I am so appreciative of his help and knowledge and he would be the first person that I would reach out to for any A/​C concerns.
