I absolutely love Thai food, so was excited to learn that Bangkok City had great reviews and was only a 20 min drive from my house. I came for the first time on a late Friday and was seated immediately. The staff was very friendly and patient as we asked various questions about the menu. I went with the chicken in garlic sauce. The waitress said they could enhance the spiciness of the food from a level of 1 through 5. I asked for 5 because I love very spicy food but the waitress recommended that since I am a first-timer, I should stick with level 2 to start out. I am glad I took her advice! The level 2 was just spicy enough and the chicken and veggies were very tasty and fresh. We were in a rush, so I was glad the food came out quickly and the wait staff was attentive.

Love this place. For lunch or dinner. Lunch special is great. My favorite dish is the tofu green curry and the tofu Massaman Curry with Fingerling potatoes. Wish they had vegan spring rolls or dumplings… But the food is always delicious and everyone is always so nice. :) It would be amazing if they delivered in New Rochelle! I am 6 min from you guys! Finally, a Thai spot in Westchester worth coming back to. Bankgkok City is an intimate restaurant with excellent food and service. Maybe not in the category as authentic, but definitely is delicious. There is one thing you NEED to order and they are the wonton bags. Crispy and filled with butternut squash drizzled with a sauce. Ordered the panang chicken and pad-sew-ew — both were cooked perfectly and seasoned with the right ingredients. Panang’s curry was creamy and juicy pieces of chicken and some veggies. Pad-sew-ew noodles were just the right texture and was nice and moist. Only cons were that it is a bit pricey and parking could be a pain to get. Service was friendly and attentive.

Had my b-day dinner and really enjoy ALL the food here. I also learned they have a Happy Hour menu, which includes samplers of their various appetizers. This place is really a treat. If you don’t know what you want, just look at the photos I posted.

The food is tasty and authentic. The service was outstanding. They were very accommodating when we wanted to omit certain ingredients from a dish, and to adjust spice level. While the space is small, it’s cozy and inviting. We called ahead to make reservations and recommend others do too.

I have gone to this resturant many times and it never disappoints. The staff is amazing especially the bartender in the front named Pam. The food is amazing I would recommend the salmon with garlic sauce and any curry dish on the menu! By far the best Thai in Westchester

This is a cozy little spot in Pelham. This is one of the best Thai food restaurants I’ve been to, and believe me I’ve been to A lot of them in the city. The waiter provided excellent service, the appetizers were on point and the main dishes were delicious as well. The American Fried rice was great. Be careful of the spice factor, as I asked them to take it up a «notch» and my mouth was literally on FIRE. lol

The service here was absolutely phenomenal. That is the only reason why I gave them three stars. The hostess asked us how our food was several times but we didn’t want to cause a stink, especially since I doubt they could’ve made it any better. The two young gentlemen catering to us were extremely friendly. The tilapia appetizer was essentially fried left over fish that they had served on top of thin French fries. We had their spicy basil noodle but it’s more like spicy soy sauce noodles with white meat. The coconut curry was more like coconut water and beef(it was a very thin broth… Probably would’ve been awesome if they dropped some ramen noodles in to it). Nice location though. Time for the owners to start looking at what other good restaurants in Manhattan/BK/Queens are doing and then reevaluate their recipes and cooking procedures.

I get my lunch from here about once a week and I’ve never had any issues. Their lunch special(one smaller-sized entrée + an appetizer) is conveniently priced(~$ 11) and there’s ample food. I’ve attempted to get normal-sized entrees for lunch and I’ve found that there’s too much food for me to finish. I’ve only ever had my food to go so I can’t speak much about the dining experience but the place has an attractive ambiance; I definitely want to dine-in here someday. It’s quite small so it’s probably not good for large groups but it’d be perfect for an intimate dinner. The staff is always friendly when I go in to order and my food never takes long at all. I’m not too much a fan of their pad thai but their BKKBBQ is awesome, I love it. It’s definitely worth a trip here.

I’ve been back here a couple times and it has gotten even better. It’s a rather small restaurant with a modern, sleek vibe. The service was great and the I enjoyed the lettuce wraps and seafood curry. I see other reviews saying there’s better thai food in the city, which may be true, but for this area it’s one of the better I’ve tried.

Came here for a birthday celebration after work on a Friday. This place has a happy hour special for $ 5 Mojito. For starters, we ordered the wonton bags stuffed with veggies, the sate skewer chicken with peanut sauce, and the fire cracker shrimp. And for entrée, we had the shrimp pad thai, pineapple fried rice, panang curry with tofu and a salmon special dish of the day. Overall, food wise was ok/fair– the worst was probably the pineapple fried rice which tasted very bland. I really like the décor of this place and the service was good.

I would agree with many reviewers here. The food is quite good for Westchester. However, compared to other Thai restaurants with similar vibes in Manhattan and Queens this place is a bit less authentic. The Mojito needs a bit more alcohol to make it worth $ 10.

This place is still going strong. Definitely my favorite Thai place in Westchester. Food has gotten more consistent, especially in the spice level. I love that the green curry is rich and full of vegetables. We recently tried their pork bun special… it was excellent and our daughter kept asking for more. I’m hoping it will become a regular item on their menu. I love their BKK rice, too. I do wish their food wasn’t so pricy(I wish I could eat it EVERYDAY), but that seems to be the unfortunate trend in Westchester.

This is one of the best restaurants in the area, certainly the best for Thai food. The ambiance is modern, yet very comfortable. Everything is clean, and the lighting is very interesting. One of the best features about this restaurant are the servers. The two people who were serving us have consistently been two of the nicest people I have ever met. They are extremely accommodating. The food is very good. It is very Asian Fusion, but they have more old fashioned dished like a variety of curries. I had the pineapple curry, and it was perfect. We always get the hanger steak, which always tastes fresh. They have a full bar, and when we were there every beer was 50% percent off. Overall, you couldn’t ask for anymore. If you are looking for a great meal with interesting flavors, then this is the place to go.

When the highlight of the dining experience is how cool the bathroom is, it probably means you’re here. The food wasn’t bad– so don’t misunderstand. It was average Thai cuisine. The pad thai was a bit mushy, but the Panang curry and crispy vegetable rolls were very tasty. They ran out of strawberry purée, so a full half of the specialty drinks being offered were unavailable. Nice outdoor seating area, but it was about 100 degrees when we visited, so that was right out. But man… what an awesome bathroom. You should check it out. Come for the crapper, stay for the curry.(If anyone ever sees Bankok City advertising with this slogan, let me know.)
