Anthony’s Paint & Body

I had a dent in the back trunk of my car and wanted it fixed. A tire shop in Hoover recommended two body shops. It was more convenient to use my State Farm insurance with Anthony’s. Also, they worked nicely with Enterprise car rentals down the road too.
Anthony’s is run by some nice, down-​to-​earth guys who do a good job. But, it takes a while to use them: get an estimate, order parts, get the work done, etc. They do not keep you informed on the process and wonder what’s going on for days. When you call after hours, one cannot leave a message either. They call last minute to tell you to pick up the car. Their time estimates to get work done have a wide range, but are honest. They are very relaxed.
But, I really feel this is a trustworthy business, who will give you fair estimates and good advice. When I spent my own money on another small repair, the guy thought up lots of options and suggested one of the lowest priced options. Repair looks good. In contrast, they did the best (and most expensive) option when State Farm was paying. Looks perfect.
I would go back to Anthony’s. Their lack of customer service was irritating but ultimately not problematic.
