I needed two pairs of pants taken in at the waist. I usually have alterations done in NYC, but was not going anytime soon so I decided to have a tailor in the area do this for me. Usually when pants are taken in at the waist, a tailor will take the pants apart in the back, make the alterations, then sew everything back together again. If done correctly, you wold never guess the pants had been altered. However, Domenic’s puts darts in the back instead. It looks tacky. You can clearly see there are darts in the pants. I could have done that myself. I have to take the pants somewhere else to be re-done properly. Two stars because the alterations were not done correctly, but otherwise they were very friendly. They seemed busy both times I went in, so maybe their dry cleaning services are good…

Never again! Ruined 2 of my suits after alterations. Way too short and then couldn’t lengthen because they cut too much at the hem. Was going on a trip the next day and had no time to replace. Very unhappy, I give them the friendliness thing though.

I love this place. Whenever I have to get my dress hemmed or tailored, I always go here. Very friendly people, the older women who is the seamstress, is such a sweet lady! They always cut the dress perfectly and they’re not over priced. I have been going here for years, they’ve done both my prom dresses and dresses for other special events! Just make sure you bring cash or check, they don’t accept credit cards.

The true definition of a mom-and-pop type store. Domenic’s is extremely reliable, I have never had any hassles and everything is ready when they say it will be. Dry cleaning prices are about standard, but the alterations are pricey. It was $ 11 to fix a hem on a skirt.(I’m considering quitting my job and becoming a seamstress, sheesh.) I would also say be careful in the parking lot!(It is on a hill and sometimes you will roll forwards before actually backing up.)
