Love it ! My favorite hotel on the peninsula. My room was not ocean front so it was pretty far to talk to front The main lobby, I told them o wanted something closer and they gave me room 1010 Right off the lobby and I love it ! Here is a tip most rooms are two queens… so the queens are in better locations ! The fire pits are a blast and very entertaining !

One of our favorite locations in the US to relax is pebble beach. Fantastic area with lots to do. We usually stay inland a bit at Carmel valley ranch. My daughter really enjoys the animals and rope swing there. This time we decided to stay at the famous, inn at Spanish bay. Located steps from the ocean and surrounded by probably one of the most beautiful golf courses in the Western Hemisphere, Spanish bay. So how was our stay? First my assistant booked the 5 days at the last minute at my request. We flew into Monterey airport, just a short 45 minutes from Vegas and was greeted promptly by car service to head to the inn. All went well up to this point. After getting to the inn we were very surprised that there were so many people in the valley and more importantly a whole lot of gold bags. Asked the young man who helped us with our bags, what’s going on this weekend. He replied by telling us that we have joined them for the at@t celebrity pro am golf tournament. I don’t think my assistant asked. Next as I walked in ok looking straight at Mark Wahlberg standing in front of me with his golf bag and his caddy. Little shorter then I imagined him to be but all was still good. Checked in and went to dinner at Roy’s. Blackened tuna is to dye for. All is good. Went back to the concierge on the way back to our room and asked for a reservation at peppolli there Italian restaurant for valentines evening. We were told that the restaurant like the others in the hotel had been bought out and were booked solid. That is where I thought my stay would be a little difficult. Me having to satisfy my wife and daughter with dinner on the big, Valentine’s Day, but no reservations to be had. The concierge was useless. So I went to the front desk and spoke to two of the desk personnel and devised a plan. I asked if they had an empty meeting room I could use and I could simply order from the restaurant therefor wouldn’t need a table in the restaurant. Make a long story short they took my idea and ran with it. Charged me an extra 250 bucks for the room plus our dinner but to me no harm no fowl there. I mean they were booked solid. I included a couple pictures of the table in my review. The manager of peppolli was there to help. Name is Federico. He was 5 stars. The best. From Italy and well versed in his wines. Important to me. A little bonus happened. Half way through dinner our server said that Frank Sinatra Jr was performing up stairs tonight and is in the room next to us. So we asked if our 9 year old could meet him. He came over and she played the piano for him. Baltimore day turned out perfect. And so did the rest of the stay. Must remember there’s always an option when the concierge says no. Just gotta think outside the box. Now why did I not give the inn 5 stars. Couple reasons. First the room have no AC. Now I know that not a game changer for many. It’s a negative for me. Second, the staff, although most were accommodating., we’re not all super helpful. Should not act that way at a high end resort. Third, outside at night we all sat by the fire pits and listened to the bagpiper come down the fairway. Issue was there was only 2 servers on and way to many to be served. Took to long. And last, on Saturday and Sunday, I asked for car service to drive us somewhere and was told its to busy and no drivers are available. I asked to use the Lexus test drive program, kinda meet service they offer, was told that was unavailable, as I started right at the car. I’m just a firm believer that the answer at a high end resort should always be yes or here’s what we can do. Clearly this is not the belief of all employees at the resort. To bad. Location is heaven on earth. One more note. If going to Carmel by the sea during your visit you must go to the Greek restaurant Demetria. You will not be disappointed.

Absolutely beautiful! If I could stay here again, I would in a heartbeat. Spacious room with complimentary snacks and drinks, comfortable beds, and a view you would not believe. I was perfectly fine with lounging out by the fireplace and looking out at the beach, but they have a bar and plenty of restaurants where you can spend some time.

This was by far the best place we have ever stayed. We drove about 7 hours to get here and arrived earlier than we expected. The girl at the front desk was so sweet and let us check in 4 hours early so I could shower. We came back from dinner to a complimentary bottle of champagne for our anniversary. I did not meet one person who did not have a smile on their face. Thank you so much for an amazing weekend!

I have never given a five star review at any place until I stayed at the Inn At Spanish Bay. I took my young family on a short 3 day vacation to the coast and was not disappointed. From the valet to the wait staff the service was amazing. They remembered our names, charmed my kids with funny stories(and a scavenger hunt when we arrived), and were overall the picture of hospitality. The room was amazing with an ocean view, fireplace, and soaking tub. We ate at every restaurant on the premises and were especially impressed with Peppoli. It was the best lamb chop I have ever had cooked to a perfect medium rare. Even my kids loved the place and their carbonara. Traps lounge was nice and quiet, a perfect place to catch part of the game. Try the fall Manhattan it is awesome. The views are what make this place special. Situated right on the coast all of the three restaurants have amazing views of the ocean crashing against the rocky coast. You won’t be disappointed with this place. It is expensive per night, but definitely worth a splurge if you want to receive the finest service and best views of any resort on the west coast. I should mention that I am a nominal golfer and took my kids to the small Peter Hay practice course. We had a blast, but what made this resort special for us was not the golf but the service, the views, and the food.

What a beautiful resort. Rooms were fantastic and spacious. The tubs was amazing and quality. I didn’t enjoy the Scottish music most nights, but I could hear it from the beach; mood setting accomplished! The staff is beyond great. Overly helpful and very responsive when things don’t go as planned.

Great service, beautiful rooms. This place delivers on the $ 700+ price tag. Nice food selection and amenities. For an upscale place, they definitely have options for children. It’s also a good spot for those not staying on property to come eat. The bagpiper is worth a trip.

This review is based on the common areas since I came here to attend an event. Views were amazing. Nestled right on the beach. Went outside sat on benches for a little bit and you can hear the waves which were very relaxing there was plenty of parking and was easy.

Maybe I’ve traveled too much. And I’m spoiled. But for $ 750/night, I expected to be treated better. Locale was breathtaking but the overall service was mediocre. I’ve had better at a mid-level Marriott.

Sometimes 6 o’clockbagpipes are the single thing that make the day perfect. The rush of the ocean in the background, the depth and breath of an unlimited ocean, clouds which help dreams fly; is there anything more beautiful than looking out onto the Asilomar Beach and feeling grateful? It gets a little bit busy sometimes, and the crowds overflow, However, the beauty and the sound of tradition as the kilted man arrives and greets the waiting crowd, happy, underneath the breathtaking sky. The children get to have Shirley temples with their club sandwich, and the adults get to enjoy good conversation and live as if on vacation. It’s such a beautiful summer as we go in the fall. It will be so exciting to see what is ahead in September, October, and after the black-and-white ball. Since the Bach Festival left, it’s wonderful to still have the music of the shore. Thank goodness for the fire pits as the evening it’s cool. The excitement of Concours de Elegance has us ready and wanting to dance! Off to the beach club and Stillwater Cove for some sun.

Its a cool hotel, but not all room are created equal. Everyone here was very friendly and yes its ok, but way over priced for what you get. I travel a lot and its just not worth the cash, way to many upgrade needed. I know its cool most of the year, but no AC. It was hot during my stay, so had a bit of trouble sleeping. Also my my bill was not correct at checkout, so had to talk to them about that. Here’s what I think, they are always booked full so they think they can get by with anything. Sorry, I travel all the time and you did not hit the mark on this trip for me.

We LOVE Spanish Bay! The fire pits alone make any amount they charge well worth it. While we stay there often I wanted to pay a very special thank you to Roberta from Room Service. She is AMAZING. She was the only one working to delivery and take orders with a packed to the gills hotel and she was stunningly polite and gracious and hustling the whole time to make sure no one had to wait too long. And to the entire staff of Peppoli, Thank you for consistently being the best meals we have ever had! Tim always makes my fiancé so happy with his amazing steaks. Thank you all! From the Valet to concierge to the room staff who is always friendly and polite and considerate. Thank you!

This is a review for the Lobby Lounge. Views are beautiful. Service is abundant and impeccable(as busy as they are between 5:30&6:30 with a fully packed patio due to the bag piper!). We were well taken care of. Tracy was awesome. As were the Martini’s and the Artichoke & Cheese dip!

Incredible service after the first 30 seconds! The epitome of a fantasy weekend with my wife! Pulled up to the lobby and was instantly greeted by 2 bellmen helping us unload the car and were so incredibly welcoming. Then went to the front desk and they had us checked in in less than 2 minutes. Plus — over a busy summer weekend, they remembered our wedding anniversary and upgraded us to an AWESOME ocean view. Our concierge showed us to our room which had a chilled bottle of champagne waiting for us with the fireplace on and the view of Spanish Bay outside our balcony. The evenings we kept the sliding door open to hear the ocean crashing on the beach all night. WOW. For a massage — we chose to get ours at the Lodge. Again… terrific but make sure to set aside a few hours to enjoy all of the quiet areas to relax. And service at Inn at Spanish Bay… room cleaning literally took place while we had breakfast. We never saw them! Like little secret elves! For 4 days… we soaked in the sights and ambiance Inn at Spanish Bay. We loved the evenings by the fire pits and Roy’s was a wonderful place to eat! Per other reviews… there were a few people partying at the patios at night but by 10PM — all quiet. Thank you for making our stay incredibly memorable.

Major Price tag when booking our 3 Night Pebble golf trip. 12 Rooms for 12 Guys. All checked in and STRIKE1… They booked all of us together but we are all at the FURTHERMOSTPOINT at the Hotel. 10 minutes to your room each way ridiculous. Rooms quite nice… good décor… yet some of lamps fixtures themselves were dated. We were upgraded to FORRESTVIEW which meant we now looked at Trees… Also I had booked King beds for many of the 12 and only Double Beds were available. Bathroom Shower issue no hot water in SHOWERONLY very strange corrected but weird. Nice fireplace in each room was a nice touch. Lobby itself gorgeous with wonderful Vistas… of the Ocean… With every amenity. Nothing annoys me more though than the booking of a Specific type of bed and having it not available to you. I am sorry this is rule # 1 and if you break it at $ 800.00 a night you need a real gut check of yourself as a management company. All and all their price tag certainly in no way can be justified. A nice resort with stylish rooms but 700 plus per night NOTHANKS much better value out there.

********************* 1280 ********************** Love everything here at The Inn at Spanish Bay. Got to stay here for Pebble Beach Food & Wine in April 2015, this property is amazing, it’s bigger than it looks. From the moment we checked in till we left, everything was impeccable. Justin the manager in the front desk area, worth mentioning. He was very kind. The property has amazing view on just about any conference room to guest rooms here. They also offer shuttle around all their property here, so convenient, and FREE valet parking, that’s right! Comfortable room, bedding, amenity and the jacuzzi bathtub is a plus. They have Roy’s restaurant on the property and a few more within their resorts. You can literally stay here the whole weekend, without leaving the resort. It’s definitely a perfect spot for romantic get away! I can’t wait to come back.

Amazing hotel in Carmel Luxury and comfort at every turn. Beds are super comfortable, food is delicious, Amazing view. The bag piper playing everyday is pretty cool touch. It’s funny how small things like this really help the ambiance. Amazing sunset. Pricey but you get what you pay for.

Holy moley this is a gorgeous place. Service is excellent here and yes it’s steep in cost but you definitely get what you pay for. I really liked how it wasn’t crowded and loud. The ocean view room has the most gorgeous view morning to evening. I loved that there were two chairs and a table on the patio for us to drink coffee watching the sunrise. Romantical! My guy proposed here and fellas if you are looking for ideas on where to propose to your special gal, I definitely recommend this place. He worked with a coordinator here and she did an amazing job. The secluded fire pit was surrounded with candles and the most flawless flowers ever with champagne. She even helped take photos for us after. You would need to reserve the fire pit for an x amount of time, i highly suggest around 3:30 — 6:30 for the sunset and the bagpipe player. The view, beach, sunset, bagpipe player. Amazing. The bagpipe player even stopped when he approached us and played a special song for us. The hotel staff and service is just amazing. The view and close proximity to the beach is the best part. You don’t need to pay the 17 mile drive entrance fee if you tell them you have a hotel booking.

Hotel: Beautiful, charming hotel. Best part: Bag piper that comes out every afternoon to play(rain or shine). This definitely won me over. Definitely would classify this as a romantic hotel. Room: Pretty large. High ceilings with a very lodgey/homey feeling to it. I ended up keeping my window open even though it was freezing so that I could hear the waves and the bag piper. Good thing there was a fire place! Staff: Wonderful staff. Golf Course: Gorgeous course. Overall: Would definitely recommend this hotel. No hesitation.
