R & J Cigars

I live in Chicago but I am frequently in Houston for business. Whenever I am in Houston I always have to go to R & J Cigars. There are many reasons why I have chosen to only go to R & J when I am in town. First, the owner, Jimmy, is very insightful when it comes to cigars. I first came to R & J Cigars and was smoking the typical brand name cigars such as Romeo and Julieta, Macanudo, etc. Jimmy recommended I try other unique/​boutique cigars that I have never been exposed to. Usually when I go to a cigar shop I am always pointed towards the name brands (usually because the person working isn’t knowledgeable about cigars) but when I come to R & J, I am always encouraged to try something new and more often than not, I love the cigar. I thought I knew what I liked to smoke but you really don’t know unless you try new cigars and really develop your own taste. The atmosphere at R & J is also very relaxing. I can come in with a few of my friends and smoke cigars without worrying about feeling unwelcome. Jimmy really cares about his customers and will go the extra mile to make sure we are satisfied. Plain and simple, R & J Cigars is the place to go if you are looking to smoke a great cigar, get great customer service, kick back and relax.
Tips:
Check out the new location in Friendswood if you are in the area. If you think the Pearland location is great wait until you see this location.

One star because I needed a cigar.
Won’t ever go back again. When I asked for a particular cigar, I was told it was crap… hmmmmm. Last time I checked, I know what I like to smoke. I don’t know, or care if he was the owner or not, when a customer asks for something you should keep your preferrences to yourself.
The only reason this place does well is the lack of options in Pearland. The cases are not impressive. Any convenience store could buy those and sell cigars.
Spend some time at That Cigar Place or Stogies or even Serious Cigars to see what a REAL cigar lounge looks like.

Nice small location located in grocery store shopping strip. Carry a range of great brand stogies. Laid back seating to enjoy your cigars. Lost a star because i was not greeted upon arrival & had to ask for help. While checking out i asked the gentle his name & it was Jimmy. The owner. After i told him i found the shop on Unilocal.He turned out to be cool.

Carry whatever stick you want and can quickly get whatever you’re looking for. Jimmy is the man.

We went into R & J Cigars the other day to check them out. We love visiting new cigar lounges, and we were in Pearland, so we decided to pop in. There are 6 large cabinet humidors filled to the brim with delicious premium cigars! They are displayed nicely so you can browse and find something new, or easily locate an old favorite.
There are 2 couches facing the flat screen television, so pick a cigar and watch the game. Jimmy is really nice and helpful. He can recommend cigars to satisfy your craving, or suggestions for new smokers.
This location also sells cigarettes and small cigars as well as cigar accessories such as lighters and cutters. Their prices are definitely fair and worth the stop when you are in Pearland.
