Great spot! Very beautiful space and ambience. The food was very good, everything was fresh and hot. Our waiter was prompt although he didn’t speak clear English. This was my first time coming with my family. We didn’t have to wait for a table and the food was out very quick. I can definitely come here again. I see some other menu items I would LOVE to try!!! Great place for breakfast or brunch.

My husband had been here twice before and had bad experiences, but we for some reason decided to try it again. We went for lunch on New Years Day since it was one of a few places open and we wanted to get out of the house for a while, but honestly I could have gone to the store, driven home, cooked the food, cleaned up, and take a nap in the amount of time we spent just waiting for our food. First of all the host hardly acknowledged us when we walked in, they were not busy, but we still had to get his attention and he seemed irritated to have to deal with us. Then we had to wait almost 10 minutes even though there were plenty of open tables. There appeared to only be two waitresses for our section. We finally ordered and then we waited and waited and waited. She never stopped back by to check on us. Finally after 30 minutes I flagged her down and asked what the problem was(we had ordered sandwiches!!!). She offered to bring us muffins while we waited. The muffin was of the box made spongy variety, not homemade. I was starving so I ate it and all of the food that eventually came. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t that good. I won’t be back. There are many other places to eat in the area. Granted they are mostly all of the generic/chain restaurant type, but some are better than others. Bottom line, if you don’t have enough staff to be open on new years day, don’t be open on new years day!

Place could use some TLC! First booth they tried to sit us at had a huge rip in the vinyl. It was taped up but looked trashy. Sat at the booth behind it. Looked across from us and that booth was ripped as well. As high as the prices are you would think they could afford to repair the booths. Also went to the restroom and the door doesn’t close behind you. I started going to the restroom and looked to my right and I could see the hallway. The door sticks to the floor. Food was ok. My wife likes it so I go to please her!

I’ve been to Mimi’s quite a few times and I really like it, but I think they need to check into how they train their wait staff. Our waiter was very disengaged and may have had a hearing problem with the amount of times I had to repeat myself. My kids weren’t given kids’ menus. I had to ask for them. There was some employee off duty at the bar talking to employees who were on duty. Very annoying. I’m only giving them three stars because we usually like the restaurant. I think there must have been a change in management that had led to this.

This shit hole!!! Me being lazy and not wanting to drive to downtown Houston for breakfast I came here wanting to try something new. Pros– Potatoes are amazing!!! — Muffins are big, good, and serve hot. Cons– Very costly, Found hair in my salsa. Ordered egg white omelet and it was bland as ever. Smell like old ppl inside. The server is the host, cook, and waiter… Umm something is wrong with that

Horribly slow service during lunch with unwarranted high prices. I took my wife here a few weeks ago for lunch. The experience was a disaster, we were seated quickly, but everything after that crawled at a snails pace. 30 minutes go buy and still no food on our table. 45 minutes go buy and a bowl of soup shows up! The prices are also extremely high for typical diner food. Just think, a prettier looking Denny’s/Ihop serving mediocre food dressed up with fancier garnishing. I was not impressed and we will not be back.

My partner treated his friend to a birthday dinner and he brought me home the club salad for dinner. He also brought home a muffin for me that was sorta like a cross between an apple streudel and a muffin. When I opened the salad, I immediately noticed that everything was cut very precisely, including the lettuce(think lettuce shreds that you would put on a taco). I think this was the first time I’ve ever had a minced lettuce salad. Hmmm. The bleu cheese is your garden variety Costco/Sam’s recipe and nothing to write home about. Overall, it was decent and I was full after eating it. The muffin on the other hand was great and I really enjoyed the fresh apple chutney on the top of the muffin. I would be eager to give them another chance and we’ll see if I will have a better experience.

I’ve been to Mimi’s a couple times for weekday lunches in the Pearland Town Center. Mimi’s has a decent lunch special but still averages around $ 10 a plate. The Belgian Waffle & pancakes are good, they also have good salmon. Its higher class than IHOP& Denny’s but a similar atmosphere. The wait staff is quality and the restaurant has a huge shared parking lot for the Town Center.

Love Mimi’s! As I’ve said before, I love me some breakfast, and I’ll eat it morning, noon and night. Mimi’s is no exception, especially on weekends when it’s not restricted to the morning. Once you step into a Mimi’s, you’ll find that it is very cozy and welcoming. It’s kind of like an upscale IHOP, but with way better food and service. The décor is French/New Orleans-inspired, and you can choose either a booth or table. The menu is fairly extensive and usually has a seasonal offering. My favorites are the corned beef hash and eggs, the Monterrey omelet, or the Belgian waffle. Depending on what you order, sometimes you get a muffin included. They are usually piping hot and really yummy. I always get the buttermilk spice, unless there is a new seasonal one(red velvet or strawberry shortcake are excellent recent ones). It is crunchy on top and warm and cakey on bottom! Their lunch and dinner offerings are plentiful and tasty as well. They have a scrumptious chicken pot pie, a great salmon dinner and even Thanksgiving on demand! I would recommend the corn chowder for your soup choice. It is sweet and savory and oh-so creamy! If you’ve saved room for dessert, they are not lacking in that department either! You can’t go wrong with their sampler, but I absolutely love their filled beignets. The generous order(shareable) comes with three dipping sauces. Just be careful because they are HOT! Mimi’s is usually our go-to for Saturday morning breakfast, or to meet up with family or friends. The food is consistently good, and the wait staff is always friendly and prompt. I think those things that are what keep us coming back, time after time.

I have been to MiMi’s Café twice, most recently it was for breakfast, so I believe it’s high time that I write a review. From the moment my family and I entered the door on a Sunday morning, we where blown away by the hospitality of the staff. The manager saw to it personally that accommodations where made for our infant. The waiter, Jeff introduced himself and took our drink order promptly. Refills where frequent and plentiful(thirst level was high). All of your favorite breakfast foods can be found on the menu here at a reasonable price! The ambiance of the restaurant is unlike any other in Pearland, it has a New Orleans French Quarter feel to it. The tables and booths are spaced apart so that you can enjoy your meal without sitting in the lap of other patrons like you would at IHOP. The food was excellent, I had the buttermilk pancakes, while my wife had the Belgian Waffles, both met expectations. I suggest giving this place a try if you are in the area, dinner is pretty good as well and they also have a full service bar.

Food was bland and without texture. Thought it was odd that it wasn’t crowded on a Friday night. The food was the quality of a TV dinner. We won’t be going back.

My first time at Mimi’s was actually in Dallas — I live in the Houston area, so I was happy to learn there was one here. I will say breakfast is the best part of the menu, I’ve not been thrilled with any of the lunch or dinner items. As for Breakfast, the pancakes, waffles and hash are really good — I love the bacon and eggs. I’ve ordered the turkey family take home dinner and it was good — not great — but good. I do like the eat in service — the waitstaff is attentive and nice. Overall a great place, my daughter and I love Sunday morning breakfast there :-)

Thanksgiving year-round! How awesome is that? Mimi’s Café has a turkey dinner family meal for $ 25. This meal comes with turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and a side of salad or soup. It says it feeds 4 – 5 people. I think not. Maybe if it is just two parents who don’t eat much and two little tykes who just pick at their food but two hungry people? Maybe. Enough for seconds? No way. This meal is not Texas sized nor enough to feed the average American. It’s like Weight Watchers/Lean Cuisine sized. We ended up ordering two turkey dinners and a side of vegetables to feed four people. Let it be known that what comes in the meal is turkey slices, not a whole bird. Ordering the meal on the phone and picking it up was an ordeal. The person on the phone did not know anything about the meal. He asked the lady next to him every question we asked because he did not know the answer. Then he told us what she said. He should have just given her the phone to talk to us. When we picked up our order, they had only entered in one turkey dinner even though the paper said two turkey dinners. We waited about 15 minutes for them to prepare the food for us. As a consolation they gave us an extra serving of vegetables for free. That was nice. They even offered us water while we waited. Overall, I was happy with the food from Mimi’s Café. We had a nice early Thanksgiving celebration. The turkey was moist and the steamed vegetables of carrots and broccoli tasted healthy along with the salad which was good. I’d try Mimi’s Café again but with all the other chain restaurants in the area, it’d be awhile before I return.

Service has definitely improved since our last visit a year ago. I think we’re ready to start coming here on a regular basis now. Having the staff greet you in French is a bit contrived, but the food is solid.

Horrible service! 2 managers standing around Not helping, under staffed. Had one server covering one half of restaurant while one staff member was being«reprimanded» for almost getting in a fight. Manager spoke negatively about our server saying she was not«one of stronger servers». Food average, very very slow and shrimp on salad(grilled) was cold. Vanilla bean ice cream terrible! Crab cake burned. Do not recommend this location ATALLANDWILLNOTEVERRETURN,

This place is way overpriced for the size and quality of the meal you get. The first time I tried Mimi’s Café was out in Vegas. My friend raved about it and honestly I don’t remember my first experience. I took my brother here for dinner just for him to try out something new. First, there’s a lot on their menu so it took us a while to figure out what to order. Second, they have lots of combination(2 or 3 course meals for either 9.99 or more — depending on the type of combination, etc). We were simple and just ordered dinner entrees. What was«worrisome» for me was their«healthy menu» because the entrees were around 550 calories. That makes me wonder how many calories are in the regular entrees??? I really don’t want to know, but I did try their healthy menu and ordered the sweet and sour chicken(nothing else was appetizing). The chicken was literally 3 bites and drenched in sauce(yuck) that sat on top of brown rice. It was definitely not worth the money. My brother had a better experience than I did. He ordered their Chicken Cordon Blue and said it was really good. Then again, how do you mess up something fried??? If you do… you really should not be in the restaurant business. Service was mediocre and I don’t know if we’ll come back any time soon.

What a disappointment. This will be our last visit. Bland food which was poorly prepared, overpriced, and had slow service to top it off. The muffin was pretty good, which seems to be what everyone’s crazy about, but everything else fell way short. I got the blt omelette and the potatoes were undercooked and when I sent them back they came deep fried instead of pan, the avocado was crunchy it was so unripe, the tomato was mushy, and the omelette was super bland. Fail!

Ahh Mimi! I’ve been eyeing you every time I pass along 518 but scared you would be a huge letdown. But last Friday, I decided it was time to take a plunge and try something new. You welcomed me with open arms as the hostess graciously opened the door for my best friend and me. The full bar was inviting, the French/New Orleans décor was a nice touch. Our waitress was nice but not nearly as effortlessly as the one I conversed with in the restroom. The bread you offered for free was a nice touch. The cake like one made me want to buy a loaf of the stuff! We settled on the 3 course menu. Our meal consisted of a soup for bestie: corn chowder that I sampled which wasn’t that good to either of us, a little too sweet and lacking flavor. Pretty much tasted like creamed corn heated in a cup. And for me, a ceasar salad which barely had any parm on it and so lightly dressed, I could barely taste much past the actual romaine. The croutons were nice and fresh though. The entrees were chicken madeira, which looked so cheesy, mushroomy and tasty but could have used a good dose of seasoning during preparation, and honey dijon pork chops, that looked more like boiled pieces of fish but was pretty good the longer I ate it. The dijon was overpowering in the beginning but I grew to love it. The mashed potatoes and mixed veggies that accompanied both entrees were delish! Finally to the encore: dessert! The bread pudding, I was told, was just ok! A bit too«bready» and not enough sweet. *shrug* because I don’t eat the stuff, I thought it was supposed to be «bready.» The sauce apparently tasted like pure alcohol so you’re definitely winning with us there. My triple chocolate brownie with a scoop of vanilla was a bit overcooked but edible. All in all, I think you are good solid 3. The service was good and the manager stopped at our table twice. While you haven’t created a fan yet, I’ll definitely give you the opportunity to prove yourself even more.

Stopped here for a Sunday lunch while in Pearland Town Center. This area has been built up tremendously and there is a plethora of new restaurants. Mimi’s is just one of the many in the busy town center, but this one is a little more colorful than others from the outside. There was a brief wait on the Sunday afternoon, but there was a red punch that was being served in the lobby while people waited. This place definitely serves the after church crowd on Sundays, and there are tons of children everywhere. On the inside, it feels like grandma’s living room — kitschy décor. We were seated and our feet felt the crunch of cheerios all below the table. They try and turn over tables here so fast that they don’t appear to get cleaned very well. The Belgian Waffle was very good, but maybe it’s the small child in me, but I don’t like my eggs and waffle all on the same plate. Syrup + eggs = yuck. I need one of those partitioned plates for children who don’t want their peas to touch their mashed potatoes, etc… I’d definitely get the waffle again, just on a separate plate. My husband had the banana and chocolate chip pancakes. It came as a serving of 4, which was just way too much sickly sweet banana and chocolate chip for one meal. They really should be a side item to another meal. I can’t say much about the service as we got a girl who was brand new and trying her best to work everything out. I was very unimpressed by the bus boy and hostess yelling at each other over a dirty rag that they both wanted to use to clean different tables. Eventually the hostess just snatched from the bus boy and walked off. The management needs to ground its misbehaving children. Even with the service tantrums and lack of sectional plates, I enjoyed the food and would stop in again. I hope next time it doesn’t feel like we’re on a sandy beach below the table and the waitstaff grow up a little.

Came here for breakfast and I learned a new thing: MUFFIN + BUTTER = YUM! I never knew the two combined tasted so GOOD! I plan to eat my muffins with butter in the near future. I ordered the blueberry muffin(which came with two sides of butter) and the Avocado«BLT» Omlette. My whole meal was just under 800 calories and thats including the butter! If you goto the website, each item on the menu has nutrition facts to it so you know what you’re taking in. Next will be the lunch menu…
