History

Established in 2009.

Jody Sasser opened the doors to new Level Salon Studio in March of 2014. What started as a small boutique salon suite inside of an office building, is now front and center of «new» Pearland overlooking HWY 288 and Shadow Creek Ranch.

Level Salon Studio strives to build caring relationships with each guest, creating client loyalty and forming lasting friendships which develop organically within the relaxed and sophisticated setting.

Our stylists pay close attention to our clients’ needs and make sure everyone leaves looking and feeling their best.

Our mission is to provide excellent customer service and superior quality styling through continuous education in a creative atmosphere of beauty, design and style.

Business Owner

Jody Sasser uncovered her appetite for the hair industry at a very early age. Her early 20’s launched a daring journey when she decided to pursue her enthusiasm for hair professionally.

Specializing in cut, color and styling, Jody’s talents are comprehensively recognized for her ability to blend innovative and classic designs. She prides herself in exceptional customer service and her willingness to really connect with her clients.

Jody is a strong believer in continually expanding her knowledge and education; thus serving her clients a current and savvy look every time.

Jody is a veteran hairstylist, and now, beauty educator. She eagerly joined the Essations team in 2012 to make a bigger impact on the lives of hair stylists and salon owners through education, motivation and inspiration. Jody is excited about being an Essations educator and plans to bring this energy to work with her clients.

The service was really good. I was contemplating going to this salon or another one. This salon starts off at 50 for a wash and style but mine ended up costing 65.00. The other salon was just 45.00. I was really happy with my hair but I should have went to the other salon that was 20.00 cheaper and my hair would have looked the same. Great stylist but its a bit pricey so Im going to go to the other salon next just to save a couple of bucks.

My first time experience at Level Salon was short and bitter. I called @ 4:56 pm to schedule a same day appointment. The receptionist was very polite, knowledgeable and convinced me to come in and have my hair styled that day and to book for a color treatment in the future. Whoever I spoke to said she had time to do my hair at 5:20 pm. I arrived at 5:10 pm. Whoever was at the desk did not look up to greet me, but stated rudely that she didn’t see my appointment and that I could sit in the waiting area. The waiting area was filled with no seat available so I sat in an empty styling chair. The lady then yells over the desk to tell me that I need to sit in the waiting area and that chair belonged to a stylist. If she was a little less ignorant she may have twisted her neck to visually see that there wasn’t a seat available. I notified her of that. She then looked and said «oh!» At that point I left, I won’t invest in that.
I later checked my email and noticed that the email I received confirming my appointment at 4:56 pm said I was scheduled to have my hair done at 4:20pm instead of 5:20pm.
Everyone slips sometimes, I’m unbothered by the data entry mistake. And, I don’t doubt their ability to do hair or wish that anyone discontinue services with them. This is more so to drive a point home that you don’t have to be super friendly, but to be disrespectful to a complete stranger that is being cordial with you is uncalled for. Maybe next time you will seek clarity before expressing frustration or aggression.

I really enjoy my experience every time I visit. The receptionist is very knowledgable of the products and Courteous. The shop is very organized, clean and professional. I would feel safe with any stylist in the shop. Jody is continually seeking new ways to improve the shop and her staff.

So, I needed a protective style for my natural hair and I went to Level Salon Studio in Pearland, Texas, which I currently go to for my natural hair styling needs. They are everything, they even have hair steamers, so I definitely recommend them for my sisters with natural hair, as we all know sometimes our hair could use a little extra moisture. Also, if you have a busy and hectic schedule, this is the place to go, because your time will not be wasted; you can get in and out, within reason of course and there are plenty of appointments at your disposal. Anyways, this is THE most LAID sew in I have ever had. It is veryyyyy flat, due to a new braiding pattern, which only they are using… Its natural-​looking and most importantly my natural hair is protected and was cared for during the styling process. Also, I was only there for about 2.5 quiet/​productive hours compared to the 7 or 8 hours that you would spend at a loud/​unproductive establishment like Super Weave Xpress, only to walk out with a horrible sew-​in. If you are interested please go visit this very classy and black owned establishment. I can personally make recommendations for Porsha or India! Nevertheless, the Level Salon Studio is comprised of a very talented staff, maintained by the Owner, Jody :)

I had a great experience after getting a hair cut in this salon! I am new to Houston and have been looking for a good hair salon for a while now. Reading the reviews, I decided to give a shot to this place in Pearland. I called in on a Saturday and had the haircut the same day! Jamesha cut my hair and she was great. I have very fine hair and she did a great job! I am still gettting compliments from people around me about my cool haircut. I also agree with other people on the atmosphere and the nice décor. I am definitely going back!

I had heard about this salon from some coworkers and I am VERY picky about who I let do my hair, but I decided to book an appointment because it had been a while since I had my hair trimmed and just give it a shot…
and I’m so happy I did. I love love loooove my hair. Jamesha Berry was my stylist and she was very friendly from the start! She listened carefully to what I wanted done and next thing I know, instead of a trim, I decided to get a new haircut. It didn’t take long for me to trust her with my hair. She did great on styling and my hair looks so healthy now.
I’ll be going back for more services in the future! :)

This is the best salon ever! Jody and all the stylists are so sweet and they have great chemistry that makes the customer feel comfortable. They each work together to help make the experience quick and pleasant and an overall upscale feel. The products they use left my hair feeling like silk! I am soooo glad I tried them out!

I just left this salon and it’s really great. I tried to find a salon in Houston that was affordable and has stylists that don’t just say they work with natural hair (I wear my hair straight). This salon is gorgeous and the staff is very professional. India worked on my hair and it turned out great! The only downside is that it’s so far but honestly I think it’s worth the drive.

I have been a salon hopper for a while now… due to the fact that i hadnt found any stylist nor salon that was worth the price or my time for my hair care. Level Salon Studio was a life saver… after my first visit with Tashell Williams i was sold! I’ve never been to a salon that cares so much about the health of your hair and their clients. This place is very professional and i thank God i found a new home! Keep up the great work ladies!

Let me start by saying that the salon is gorgeous — beautifully appointed with simple and elegant décor. I was warmly greeted by my stylist, Ms. Tashell. She is a consummate professional, taking time to conduct a thorough consultation, then actually listening to my hair needs. I was in and out of the salon without any of the chair hopping I’ve experienced at other salons when stylists overbook their clients. The salon atmosphere truly made me feel relaxed and like a celebrity. As a new Houston resident, I am so happy to have found a salon and stylist I can trust!

This place is awesome. Love my hairdo. First time in here was 3-​days ago since moving to Houston from NY, I didn’t know where to go for a NY-​quality hair. Thanks to a friend’s prior research I found this gem in Pearland. My hair was done exactly to my taste (better than NY) I must say. Jody (the owner), was my stylist and she really does listen to all your concerns and ideas (if any). I left there feeling pretty. Thanks Jody, I’ll definitely be back.
