A few weeks ago a rear breakline broke on my subaru (rust). I went to get it done close to my place which is inside the loop, they checked it out and quoted me upwards of $ 600, because the gas tank had to be dropped to get to the lines. That seemed high to me but I shopped arround and got similar quotes from other shops in the loop. I was thinking about just doing the myself to save on the crazy high labor costs until my coworker reccommend Ellis Automotive in Pearland.
They completed the job in a day and the cost only came in just over $ 200. I am sure it took more than 2 hours of labor, but that’s all I was billed for. When I got my car, the breaks were super firm after. Much firmer than I ever remember. Verry impressed.
My only complaint is that the hours of opperation are tight and they aren’t open on weekends. But it’s a smaller family opperation, so I understand.
