Meet the Business Owner

Michael S.

Business Owner

A graduate of Lamar University, Dr. Michael R. Smith started Accent Dental from the ground-​up, providing committed dental care throughout its humble beginnings to the ever-​expanding practice it is today.

Receiving his doctorate from the University of Texas Houston Health Science Center Dental Branch in 1993, Smith is a member of the American Academy of General Dentistry, as well the American Academy of Facial Esthetics. He trained in Cosmetic Dentistry at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI), and was named one of Consumer Reports’ Top Dentists in 2009 and 2010. He is the preferred provider of Lumineers for Pearland, and is certified for Invisalign placement and mini-​implants. Since starting Accent Dental in 1999, he has watched the practice grow, relocating to new 8000 square foot state-​of-​the-​art offices in January 2011.

Dr. Smith has been married to his wife Kimberlee for 20+ years. Together, they have three children: Ashley, Dillan, and Skylynn.
