Microtel Inn & Suites Pearl River

Very nice attendees at night. Clean place. Worth a one nite stay. One fun general note to keep in mind. I called the number in Unilocal and it seems to now have its own answering service. Very good salesmanship but they LIE!!! Best if you use this medium to search for good locations and then call the place direct.
I called to reserve a room and the lady asked what location I was requesting. I asked if I was calling direct to the hotel. She said no and she had no knowledge of the hotel but she did say her price was the best. And that I was in luck because they only had one room left. I kept trying to close the call but she wouldn’t let me. So I hung up.
I called the hotel direct and their price was a bit cheaper and when I asked to reserve she said no need because she has more than enough rooms.
So, again, keep this in mind to get a better deal. And safe travels!

The rooms were very clean and the staff is amazing. We checked in during well after 11:00 pm and the staff was very attentive and helpful. The breakfast was good and the exercise rooms and exterior were superb. I became very attached to the helpfulness and affordability of the Microtel Inn chain until my visit to the Lafayette, LA location. This location however, is very accessible from interstates 10, 12, and 59. Anyone looking for an affordable, nice, and clean location outside of New Orleans should stay here.

Worst hotel experience of my life and I travel about 9 months out of the year for work. I always look for pet friendly hotels as I travel with my small dog. This hotel is pet friendly but they don’t tolerate let’s at all. They also don’t have respect for their human customers either.
I checked in and should have been there for 39 nights. Upon check In, I found only one towel in my room. When I asked for more they said they were running low. When I went to do laundry they told me the machine was broken and weren’t expecting it to get fixed for a few months.
THEN they went into my room even though I had the do not disturb sign on. They discovered that my dog had spilled his food and water. When I got home from work my key did not work and they told me that they had a letter for me. I opened it and discovered that they were evicting me! They made me stand out in the rain while I found another hotel. They wouldn’t even let me in the room to get my dog. I am convinced that because it was during mardi gras, they wanted me out since I was paying a cheap corporate rate and they could get a higher rate from a tourist. They didn’t even charge my company the pet deposit. It was that big of a deal to kick me out but they didn’t even charge me???

I loved the layout of our room. The staff was great! The bed and bedding were comfortable. It was very convenient to have the free breakfast every morning. We were here for 6 nights and it was quite and clean the entire time.

The rooms are very nice and clean, the beds are soft and fluffy and filled with pillows too. It was my first time staying at Microtel and was not disappointed.
The free breakfast was more of a side note but at least there was a free breakfast. Tell you what the coffee was really good, and my coffee standards are high.
Now the downside and it’s only one. It’s 34 miles to the French Quarter. I would have never booked the rooms if I knew it was that far. That’s 70 miles alone round trip. Not good but the rooms sure was comfortable for me to rest after all that driving.

Soft beds and pillows, extremely clean, and nice size rooms.

This is my second time staying at this location, the last time was about nine months ago. The rooms are unsurprisingly compact, but clean and with comfy beds. I can hear the television set clear as a bell in the adjacent room though, and I don’t think they have it turned up particularly loud. Walls are thin, annoying when you’re trying to sleep. Friendly staff, clean building.

The price was great for what you get. Clean room with comfy beds. Nice window seat. Has a small flat screen tv. Has a lot of grass area for our dogs. Hotel accepted dogs. Breakfast wasn’t good though. Not really a hot breakfast outside of a waffle maker.

We stayed here two different times over the past couple of weeks while on a work trip for my husband. We we there for five nights then for a couple nights a week later. The hotel is tucked off in a small area off of the highway near a couple of convenience stores. It’s nice and quiet. Inside it is nice and clean with friendly and helpful employees. They offer complimentary breakfast each morning, including cereal and waffles. There is a laundry facility on the second floor with a washer and dryer. They have a snacks vending machine as well as two soda machines. Our first stay our room was very nice. Our second stay was nice as well but the room (different from the first room), there were a few issues. I noticed several stains on the bedding, one of the two window coverings had somehow lost some of its blackout protection which let splotches of light cone through at night. Not a big deal… just doesn’t look as clean and up to par as the rest of the hotel. Also, since we didn’t give much notice ahead of time on our second stay we ended up with a two bed suite. The first night my husband was beside his bed and rammed his ankle into part of the metal bedframe that was jutting out from the bed. Bad enough to cut his ankle. It’s kind of like that room got the short end of the stick, lol.
All in all this is a nice hotel on the inexpensive side. The property is nice, and there is a convenience store with a Subway next door. There is also a daiquiri and pizza place next door as well. As short drive down the road will take you to a Waffle House, a McDonald’s, and a gas station. Ten minutes further you are in Slidell and you have many more options.
We would definitely stay here again should we find ourselves in the area again. a

Queen room is pretty cramped. I don’t mind it — not bad just for an overnight stay — but my husband says he feels claustrophobic. Cute window seat. Room was mostly clean, but there was some sticky substance under the TV guide on the desk. I would say, you get what you pay for, but not a bad experience at all. Friendly staff.

The entire hotel was very clean and smelled great. The front desk service was very helpful and offered suggestions for great food in the area. The rooms are a little small, but the lighting was amazing. The bedding smelled fresh. Wifi was great. The location was great and felt very safe. The only downside was that the breakfast was pretty limited and they ran out of most stuff very early (on a Sunday morning). We will definitely recommend this location to our friends.

I was unfamiliar with the area and didn’t know what to expect. But I’ve stayed at Microtel’s in the past and have always been pleased. This location did just the same. It’s conveniently located off the highway with shops, restaurants, and gas stations close by. The staff was extremely accommodating and super friendly. We had a Queen Suite room with a bar, mini fridge, microwave and couch/​living room area. It also had a window seat, very comfy bed and flat screen tv. Our bathroom was granite and really clean. There’s nothing negative to say about this place. We felt safe, clean and got a great night’s sleep and woke to a free breakfast in which they make omelets for you! Definitely stay here if you visit Pearl River! It’s only 40 minutes to the French Quarter, 25 minutes to Abita Springs and 30 minutes to Gulfport, MS.

When you’re road tripping it down from NY and your brothers wanted to sleep in the car the night before so crackheads don’t break in and steal your s*** (moving so cars packed to the brim a wk before xmas) it would be the nice thing to do to ensure that they get a good nights sleep and everyone can have peace of mind knowing… your car is safe… but on a budget too?
This place is amazing. Its owned by Wyndham hotels and this affordable brand is by far, hands down, the best inn, motel stay you can find.
Parking lot: massive — plus: live security camera taping entire lot… crackheads?
Rooms: Does NOT, I repeat, NOT like what you’d expect from an inn… Queen size beds, and updated bedding and furnishings! Updated bathrooms, thick towels… I could not stop
Breakfast: typical continental, but the best part was the omelette station. I forget the name of the wonderful woman, so full of life, so sweet making some kickass omelettes made to your desire.
The service was so friendly, not that I’d expect otherwise, but it kept adding to the experience.
The only downside was that the wifi didn’t really work…
In other words, its a great, great hotel. I’ll admit it, i can be a hotel snob and as much as I’d like to think I can «rough it» I’m only kidding myself… this place here had been the only hotel — in its kind –where you get more then what you pay for. Great job Wynn! Now start expanding in the northeast!

We are currently driving from Florida to California. We arrived in Slidell at 1:30 am to a very kind receptionist and word that there would be a staff member making complimentary omelets to order for breakfast in the morning. Our room was spotless and huge. For $ 70, taxes included, for a clean room with two queen sized beds, I am quite pleased.

We booked a room at the Microtel as part of a 4 day vacation in New Orleans. Unfortunately, NOLA was about 30 minutes away from this hotel and this being our first time in LA we were unsure of the location when we booked it through Priceline and thus found ourselves slightly far. However, the hotel was good quality. We felt safe and the price was right. We liked that the room was kept clean, the continental breakfast was tasty, the bed was very comfortable and the overall room itself was very pleasant with the plasma tv and room service. The staff was also friendly — one of the housekeepers that cleaned our room even left us a note on a notepad wishing us a pleasant stay. However, the negative side was that our room was right next to the only 3^rd floor elevator and Ice box so we kept getting woken up by people being loud when they passed by our room. Also housekeeping was knocking at our door at around 7:30am — when we were still trying to get some sleep. Also their internet did not work for us at all. But overall it was a good experience. If you don’t mind some of the cons.

GREAT place to stay. Clean, safe, friendly and helpful front desk staff, nice room, easy location right off of the highway, less expensive than other nearby places (used priceline to book room). Also, good wifi, frig/​micro and flat screen tv in room, and comfy bed. Solid breakfast with omelett station. We will definitely stay here again. No problems during stay.

Great hotel but the blond gal with the pony tail at the front desk has terrible customer service. Once they get rid of her, I will give this place four stars.

We stopped here on the way between Texas and Florida. We chose it because of the price, the fact they have free WiFi, and how close it was to I-​10. The room was super nice and clean, the bed was ridiculously comfortable, it also had a microwave, fridge, and coffee maker in the room. A great deal for only $ 35!
The continental breakfast is one of the best I’ve had. Sausage gravy, waffles, and the best: made to order omelettes! Yum! So glad we found this hotel. It will definitely be our regular stopping point on the way to/​from Texas.
The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because they don’t accept cash, even if you give them a card to keep on file. Otherwise, it’s awesome!
