Dr. Gomez and his staff are amazing. I’ve moved around a lot in my life and have been to a lot of different dentists. Dr. Gomez and his office are the best I’ve ever had. He and his hygienists have taken the time to really explain to me what’s going on with my teeth. And their explanations have made me want to floss on a regular basis (rather than feeling it’s drudgery I have to do). Jaz at the front desk is amazing as well. She is always ready for me when I walk through the door and is an expert at handling insurance. She has made sure that my husband and I are fully aware of out-​of-​pocket costs we’ll incur before any procedure. It doesn’t get any better than this office.

Since we moved to Hawaii, my wife and I see Dr. Gomez and his hygienists for our dental needs. They are very attentive, they do not exaggerate your minor dental issues or recommend unnecessary procedures, and prioritize what is important and necessary for your dental health. As long as I am in Hawaii, I won’t be changing dentists.

Left Gentle Dental after a bad experience and went and saw Scott Gomez. He has been stellar, never had to wait more than a couple of minutes to be seen. I feel that I am getting my monies worth with him. Takes care of my issues, and the hygienist ensures that I know what I should be working on. Education is key, and they do teach you what you need to do. Would not go anywhere else, highly recommended.

He’s been our family dentist for 30+ years. Two dentists practicing there now I believe.
I’ve never had a complaint. Well I guess I can complain about parking. Sometimes there is none. His place is at the Pearl City/​Waialua area where Times, iHop, etc are. Times hogs a lot of parking stall space and sometimes it’s real busy there. Also I’m not sure if the building has an elevator to get to the Dr’s office. They are located on the 2^nd floor so if there is no elevator it would be hard for those with wheelchairs or kids on strollers or whatever.
Friendly staff and they’re always really nice, playful and patient with my two year old who tags along and tends to run around while I get my teeth worked on.
Highly recommended.

Dr. Gomez is the bomb. He is friendly and really seems to know what he’s doing. A friend recommended him when my regular dentist said I had to remove some teeth. Dr. Gomez said my teeth looked fine, but, that I should take better care of them. He showed me the x-​rays and explained everything fully. He’s my dentist for sure now

Very good experience with Dr. Gomez and his staff. From the receptionist to the hygienist (Hazel) all were very helpful and informative. One of the best cleanings I have ever received. I even got in for a same day appointment. A+

I’ve been going to Dr. Gomez for a few years now. I chose this dentist because when I applied for a job they had a list of dentists that we had to choose from and since this was close to home I decided to give it a shot. I am so happy that I did because he’s been my dentist for 6 years, my mom and brothers also go to him too. We used to have a dentist in town that would charge an extreme amount of money. When I first started going to him the receptionist they had was such a bitch I couldn’t stand her but had to deal with her, a few years later she was gone. The girls that they have now are great. They are very friendly and accommodating. He is very knowledgeable, gentle and if he feels that you don’t really need work done then he won’t make you do it so he can make money. He isn’t money hungry. I will continue to go to Dr. Gomez until he retires.

Dr. Gomez is THE best dentist ever! So gentle… no matter what kind of work he’s doing and tells you exactly what you need… nothing more, nothing less! I’ve been going to him for 24 years… and so have three generations of my family!

Wow. Dr Gomez just did 6 crowns in my beautiful smile. I love it. My daughter loves Dr Gomez too and wouldn’t want any other. Their staff is so nice and both of the two hygienist are great.

I recently moved and wanted to switch to a dentist closer to home. I decided to book an appointment with Dr. Gomez upon recommendation by a friend, but unfortunately did not like my experience there.
The staff for the most part seemed nice enough and Dr. Gomez was friendly and easy to talk to, but his hygienist was so rough with the manual cleaning. I think she cut up every square inch of gum space I had, which ended up aching for days! I think the amount of blood being rinsed out of my mouth that afternoon looked like it was fresh out of a horror film. I’ve never had that problem with other hygienists. I always try to floss daily and have never had that problem with any of my prior dental cleanings. Then during the massacre, I felt like I was being lectured throughout my entire cleaning on how important it was to floss. That got old pretty quick.
I actually reported back to my friend who still goes there and she also said that the hygienist is pretty rough for her cleanings and that she too always gets lectured on the importance of flossing.
Well to make a long story short I have decided to change dentists. I feel it’s not worth the pain and the hygienist can save her voice for someone who is willing to listen.
