Something is going right when you are able to operate a snack truck for over 20 years! Yes I’ve been a customer of this guy’s truck ever since I was a little boy. He used to make rounds throughout Pearl City with his ice cream jingle going off and I’d run outside to stop him and get my snack on! Now he mostly stops at that arc bridge closest to the freeway. He offers foods like pork hash, musubi, fried noodles, chicken, and chips, candies, and so forth. Try the lumpia it’s my favorite! Price is ok, I mean he has to make a living, right? I’d recommend visiting the truck before school gets out and the kids wipe out all the good stuff! Be there before 2:30!

Haven’t been here since Intermediate school and wanted to take a trip back down memory lane. BUT the pork hash wasn’t very good. Noodles weren’t as good as I remember. And he skimped me on my Rooster sauce in a rude way. Wanted to buy the musibis but the price for the size wasn’t worth it. I’m not coming back. Maybe if he was friendlier i would’ve but that wasn’t the case. I will suggest the white Manapua truck on North rd in Ewa Beach tho!

As a fellow Unilocaler has commented, yes, he does not sell Manapua, but in Hawaii we refer to these types of «food trucks» as «Manapua Trucks», and the vendors as the«Manapua Man/Woman.» Sorry this maybe confusing, but it is something that has been passed down to us as kids, and so it sticks. Most trucks have some kind of random food items, with candy, soda, and random nick nacks. Okay, with that aside, let’s talk about this truck. It has been upgraded since my haydays when I was in intermediate and high school. However, still the same man, and food. Prices have gone up since then, but I’m surprised at how little. When you come to this truck, don’t expect gourmet food, or anything fancy. Just good cheap snacks. I remember before ordering small noodles and 2 fried pork hash. I recently went to this truck while driving in the area on a whim, and boy did it bring back memories. Overall, if I’m in the area and I see that big white van I’ll stop by. He gets a bonus star for nostalgia. I love that fried pork hash!

The food was cool, nothing super fantastic, but good regardless. We just came from hiking Mañana trail, so hungry we were. The truck was very non-descript as it’s unmarked and the open side doesn’t face the street. It’s right next to the bridge and the man was real nice. I ordered fried noodles, lumpia and spam masubis. He ran out of fried chicken, which is what I really desired, but ah, such is life! The noodles were good and the lumpia was tasty. The masubis were ok, I mean you can’t go wrong with them, right? Very inexpensive, quick food on the go, tasty!

Manapua truck located near the intersection of Moanalua Rd and Hoolaulea, on the makai side of the walk over bridge coming down from Highlands Intermediate School. This is the manapua truck that also service Hale Ola housing area and the Mañana Skate Park. The usual manapua truck fare, noodles in a bag, several sizes available, spam musubis, steamed and fried pork hash, I don’t remember seeing manapua at this truck, though I call it a manapua truck lol, also serves candies and canned drinks. The guy that runs it is nice, he’s always there, well it seems that way, and I think Angela R. got his hours down to a T!!! 12:30 — 4:30, then he goes to the skate park after that. I don’t know what time his Hale Ola run is, or if he still goes there, or not. Convenient cause it does seem like he’s always around, and later than most trucks, except for the ones in Ewa Beach.

Are you someone who wants to support local small businesses? If you answered yes then support this manapua truck! This is as small as a business can be! The silver truck is located on the corner of Moanalua Road and Hoolaulea Street right under the concrete bridge at 12:30 — 4:30pm. I drive by this truck every time I go to pick up my daughter at my in-laws after school. This is a standard truck with the standard manapua truck items. It is very affordable and I recommend it for an afternoon snack. My favorites are pork hash, white rice cake, and fried noodles. You also can get manapua(of course), assorted candies, cup noodle, lumpia, gau gee friend chicken and variety of drinks. WARNING– After school hours are very crowded. Around 2:30 there can be 10 – 20 school kids in line. Also, I visited the truck at 4:15 once and not much was left. Every time the hubby and I asked for something he said, «No». It was kinda funny Unilocal31 Day Challenge #22/31 Support Small Business!

Ahhh, a classic. I’ve been buying food from this manapua truck since I was 6. He would drive around the neighborhood with his nostalgic music playing and I knew that I had to run out with my quarters. It’s been the same«uncle» driving the truck for years and never has a ever sold manapua lol His fried noodles still taste as ono as I remember years ago and so does his pork hash. The only thing that’s changed is the prices and sizes but I don’t mind, it’s the economy! One day, I popped over and he was having a conversation on the phone. When he saw me, he immediately started telling the person on the line that he needed to go and then proceeded to help me :) He’s still got that same smile, too! Food is served in a plastic bag with a fork and shoyu — definitely necessary with truck food. He’s got sriracha but you gotta ask for it!

You get the best bang for your buck here. Usually come here when I’m low on cash and don’t feel like heading to the ATM machine. The fried noodles usually fills me up. It’s best to go before school’s done for the day otherwise you’ll be standing in line with the kids.

Luckily, the manapua van still drops by my neighborhood every day, playing his signature ice cream truck song. The man behind the counter seems like a nice guy. The food here is unbelievably cheap. Ranges from $ 1-$ 5, depending on what you get. There’s fried chicken, pork hash, chili and rice, spam musubi, noodles, candies, drinks… there’s so much options! Popular among the kids is the boneless chicken and rice, $ 2. Add your own free sirachi sauce, or whatever you want with it. Not to mention, the portion is quite generous. Don’t worry, the food is clean. I haven’t heard any crazy story from kids who eat there, nor have I had a bad experience. Ironically, I don’t think they sell manapuas now…

i live nearby but never ever thought of trying it. finally recently, i tried the noodles, lumpia, pork hash, rice cake & spam musubi. i would have rated it 5 stars, but its hard to do so when it’s cheap grinds & my tastebuds are so picky lol. For an afternoon snack, it will hit the spot though. Gotta say the lumpia & and the spam musubi was pretty good. this place is good for kids cuz it has reasonable prices and has quite a variety. i’ll look forward to trying more things.

The infamous Manapua Van, Man, Truck. whatever you called him. Playing his ice cream truck tunes. He had all the best stuff! Wax bag of Fried Noodles, fried chicken, pork hash, manapua, lumpia, rice cake, gau gee, candy, juice, and all the diamond head flavors. Good stuff!
