I’m not as familiar with the Peabody location, but the Lynnfield one is awful. I’ve kept going due to the convenience factor, so shame on me — I’m reinforcing some pretty bad business practices. First of all. it STINKS, either of cigarettes or the nasty smell of some candle designed to cover up the hideous odor of the the cigarettes that by the way, still stink. Second, I understand that with limited space comes limited selection… but don’t you think it would be cool to run a report and see what’s selling and what’s not, and then maybe bring in some new wines? The amount of dust on most bottles is actually not surprising… and I love that when asked to give the bottle a quick wipe — down since the wine was a gift, the owner’s sister instantly blamed one of the employees. Speaking of the owner’s sister… hmmm, where should I begin? I’m not sure what’s going on there, but I would not want her to run my business. Whether it be the traumatic boy friend phone call out in the parking lot, or the party of three going on inside, she’s definitely distracted from running the store, much less with any pride. I know this is a lot to say about a tiny little liquor store, but I really try to support small, local businesses. I’ve given this one its last chance. I will now hit Caporele’s on my way home, or go to Whole Foods, both of which not only have a great selection, but have cheaper prices AND great service. Sorry T & L, I really tried. Never again. PS– The employees who work here are friendly and helpful — they really try to make this business work. But you’re only as strong as your weakest link, and here it’s the owner. Get it together before they jump ship!

This local package store offers a small and generic selection. If you are looking for something special and different than this store is not for you. The Store reeks of smoke and mildew not the cleanest place.
