The shakes taste like chemicals… So disgusting! I threw it away it was that gross! They forgot our fries. Took way too long to order and receive food. No napkins. No ketchup but since they forgot the fries who cares. I really liked the grilled cheese but still not worth the trip. They did bring us an extra drink but they charged us for it– and the fries too.

Third time is not a charm, still no ice cream. The management needs to travel to the Outer Banks and learn about how to run a drive-thru that serves menu items as they are advertised. We drove 15 miles for sheer disappointment.

We waited for 10 – 15 minutes at their drive thru and no one even told us what was going on so we ended up leaving and going to Wendy’s next door. Their service was very fast

Another frustratingly long wait in the car hop without ever receiving acknowledgment of my presence there. Decided to abandon and go inside to order the two shakes I was sent for and after placing the order, waited an additional twenty minutes for them. Unacceptable. I keep it at two stars only because I like the plain vanilla cones so much and they’re so cheap.

You should probably smack the employees before placing your order because you’re going to want to after you do and deal with their horrible attitudes. My whole order was screwed up. This place sucks, get some management in there and re-staff the damn place with some real workers that’ll do their job right without being a bitch.

Ordered a #3 combo which never arrived after over 45 minutes. The employees were rude about this, made excuses, etc. I was told«there are only 3 people in the kitchen», yet I saw two different cars full of people pull up in the spot next to mine, order, eat, and leave. The staff refused to refund my money, pointing to a sign on the counter which was NOT visible from my vehicle. They seemed to think the presence of this sign exempts them from both morals and law, and had no qualms stealing my money. If I paid for a product or service, and it’s not provided, that’s theft.

After my last 2 experiences here, I’ll gladly pile on to the sentiments of other reviewers here. They’re habitually out of core menu items, car hops take forever, orders come out wrong and nobody cares. Last visit was the worst example. I paid for a breakfast burrito and some other stuff, car hop brings us a bag and rolls off. I discover no burrito in the bag, so I press the button. Like 5 minutes later I get an answer, ask about the missing burrito and the kid says«oh yeah, we’re out of sausage.» So basically if I didn’t say anything, they were just going to take my money and ignore that part of my order? So I say I’ll settle for the other kind of burrito and he says it’ll be right out. Then got ignored for close to half an hour before I just left. Never again, this place sucks.

I should start this review by saying we used the drive-thru, mainly because of all the horrible drive up reviews. I wanted a chocolate, Reese’s PB sonic blast, well guess what, apparently sonic doesn’t have chocolate ice cream; fine, so I ask for chocolate syrup and PB sauce. Well I got probably a squirt of chocolate sauce and no PB sauce. I don’t feel like I asked for a difficult order… And to boot, the girl waiting in us wiped her nose and didn’t wash her hands!!! Can you say board of health?!

On our way back from Salem we detoured to Sonic Drive-In since there’s so few of them in the northeast. Everyone in our group had eaten there before so the menu and old school ordering style were no surprise to us but the flaky service was. I would like to blame the miscommunications with the staff on the poor quality of the audio system but the other reviews on here indicate that might not actually be true. We tried getting slushes and the two people who wanted the Splenda sugar free flavor took about a solid three minutes to get the guy taking our order to understand what they meant. When the runner brought out our food she didn’t know what was in the bags and forgot condiments– but she didn’t bother to bring us any from inside either. The different drive thru stalls have different menus so we had to get out of the car and walk to the stall next to us to see all the menu options available. Don’t think I’ll ever return to this Sonic, but I’m hoping the new ones popping up around south coast Mass will run better than this one does.

This place is absolutely a disgusting disappointment. From the staff to the food it’s a joke. The staff could care less about getting your order right, that’s after at least a 25 – 45 minute wait for simple foods such as burgers & fries … BURGERS&FRIES! When they finally get your food right it’s cold & gross. Avoid at all costs!

Cheap corn dogs. Cheap tater tots. Cheap breakfast burrito(minus the pickles). Cheap cheeseburgers(minus the pickles). And a small iced tea. All for under $ 10. The value-menu is my life. I don’t bother with anything else on the menu LOL.

After several visits, the carhop service is TERRIBLE. To order, it’s an average of 5 minutes before anyone answers. And this is with 1 – 3 cars in the entire lot. My last carhop took 25 minutes to get a burger and drink with 2 cars in the lot! Are you kidding me? Who forgot to bring a straw and a side of sauce? Still tipped regardless because I know what a crap job that is So I’ve wised up and went drive thru which is marginally better. Now on to their new boneless wings. I cannot believe that a fast food place offers something as spicy as the habanero heat wings. WOAH! Those are hot and I love spicy foods so great job there. I can hardly handle it! I can’t eat more then 2 without taking a break from the heat. Awesome! More products like this will make me return, regardless of your subpar service

Wow. I hope this makes the main page. Upon enter there is no one at the front counter. 2 different employees saw my family and I waiting and it still took 5 minutes for service. The bathroom was out of service, but the side one was open smelling like a zoo. There was one table eating so I figured it would take a bit for everything fresh. I came back and the food was at the table. Cooked ahead and cold. We were on a schedule so we didn’t have time to have them try again. It did taste good for something that had to have sat for a while. No music or ambience inside. They can’t take cash payments. There’s no blue cheese or ranch for buffalo chicken?! I’m sure there’s more issues. I drove from the south shore to try it out. Never again. I’ll go to CT if the RI store doesn’t open soon. Stay away at all costs.

After waiting 40 minutes for our order, and seeing 2 other customers ask for refunds, my husband asked to speak to the manager, only to be told«he was really busy.» He politely insisted. After 15 minutes a server said that if my husband would like to wait by the kitchen he would try to come out. My husband explained to the server that that was not acceptable, along with the soggy tots and sandwich he was finally served. After waiting another 10 minutes for the manager, who never came out, we left. It is clear that this location is incapable of serving more than a handful of customers at a time, and the manager did the location no justice with his piss-poor service and complete lack of customer service. We will not be going back.

ITMAKESSENSEWHYWEDONTSEEMANYSONICSAROUND… ITSSHITTY. Im disgusted after my last experience. I ordered a large pineapple slush with nerds and pop rocks. When i got my drink it had no pop rocks in it. But i drank it anyway, my instincts told me not to drink it fast as i wanted to, i always check my drinks to make sure its clean and sure enough i found a small dead bee right in the middle. It made me puke. Seeing this destroys my trust in any restaurant. And just to add in, the time before that, me and my friends waited over half hour for our order and when we got it we found out several of our food items were missing. When we talked to the manager about our missing items we had to wait long again for those items. The food Is bland. Reminded me of the bad school cafeteria lunch served at public schools when i was growing up.

So slow, slowest Sonic I’ve been to. Plus, they don’t even skate to your car despite life sized decals on the doors showing carhops on skates. Seems like a minimal effort place and I can’t help but question the management quality. Most Sonics are a fun place to visit, this one… not so much.

Every time we come here these ppl screw something up. Its kids working here and it shows. Ask them for no whip cream on a shake. not comes out with whip… ask them to fix it and this apparently means to them they should go inside and SCRAPE the whip crm off! Not to bright I like Sonics choice and have been to one in Tennessee. This location however leaves little to be desired.

Remember when Sonic first opened and basically shut down the right lane of Route 1? I do. Because I was there, shutting it down with the rest of a befuddled New England. The hype has passed. Long passed, and when a wave of nostalgia struck, I stopped in during the post-lunch rush for a quick dog and cherry limeade. The deflated remnants of such a highly touted chain’s arrival are apparent, and after all the hype has the left the building, all that’s left is a bag of lukewarm coagulations. The environment felt dour, the employees appeared disinterest, the food limped in its grease-stained packaging, and dining room sat silent — all during Happy Hour? «Happy» because you get two mozzarella sticks for a dollar, and most drinks are half price, I reckon. Of all the emotions emanating from Sonic at 2:45pm on a Monday, happy was not one of them. The dark cloud: none of the food(a pretzel dog, tots and the aformentioned mozzarella sticks) was hot, even when pranced from directly from the fry-o-later. Even the impossible to err cherry limeade was 92% syrup, and tough to drink. Marinara in a pouch. The silver lining: the whole mistake cost a shade over six bucks, and 12 minutes of my day.
