Peabody Glass & Mirror

I generally prefer to support local businesses, but I will NEVER EVER set foot in their business again. This company has the WORST customer service. The owner does NOT care about providing a quality product and was EXCEPTIONALLY RUDE to my employee today. I have been buying cut picture glass from this company for a number of years, which is to be used in framing my client portraits. Occasionally, there are pieces of glass that have bubbles or imperfections, which once placed over a pristine white mat are magnified and deemed unacceptable. Naturally, we request a replacement piece of glass if there is a flaw we find unsatisfactory. Well, today the owner threw the most UNPROFESSIONAL hissy fit over the exchange of a piece of glass. My poor employee (only her second visit to their location) took the brunt of a very angry, nasty, rude owner who blew up over a simple $ 9 piece of glass. My recommendation: DO NOT SHOP at this establishment.

I’ve used Peabody Glass for small things. a wall mirror, round table top replacements, etc. In both cases the order was ready the same day. I come all the way from Ipswich because they are so easy to deal with. If you are tired of calling around and not getting the interest or response you want from other glass places, I’d give them a try.

I like them. They cut the glass while I waited, and it was done perfectly. The price was perfect. Would return, and I’m all the way in Gloucester, where nobody cuts it right!

Have used Peabody Glass many times and have been happy with their work. They recently picked up a mirrored bi-​fold closet door which was cracked and charged only $ 54.00 to replace the mirrored panel and reinstall the door. Now that’s great customer service at a reasonable price.

This was one of the worst experiences I have ever been through with a company. Destroyed my roof installing skylight glass. Did not seal a piece of glass they replaced in my kitchen window so when it rained water came pouring in. Very unprofessional in their response to these issues and it took months for the agreed credits to come off my credit card.
