History

Established in 2011.

J Gibley Tuxedos is the newest tuxedo boutique in the Boston, MA area. Located in Peabody, Massachusetts, J. Gibley Tuxedos is owned and operated by Jeff Gibeley, formally of Giblee’s Fine Clothing for Men in Danvers, Massachusetts. Jeff has been in the clothing business since he was ten years old. He learned much of what he knows today from Saunders Mishkin, the owner of the now defunct Mr. Saunders Formalwear and the former king of the tuxedo and formalwear business in the Northeast. As far as tuxedos go, Jeff has over 25 years of experience in the business which began in 1960 at the original Giblees store in Salem, Massachusetts. After the success of Mr. Saunders Formalwear, the Giblees closed their tuxedo business, only to have Jeff personally reopen it in 1996 at the location on 114 in Danvers. After a successful run with his brother Alan and father Bob, Jeff opened his own shop in April of 2011.
