If you have a full set of teeth or own first hand clothes don’t bother coming here. The regular patrons will do their best to make you feel uncomfortable. Don’t touch the jukebox or someone may put out their Virginia Slim out on you. More expensive than any dive bar should be so you mine as well spend the extra few dollars and actually enjoy yourself somewhere else.

Always good food and a good time down here. When me and the hubby get a sitter it’s either sushi or steak from courthouse!!!

Four stars for the pizza. I don’t know about anything else as we call for delivery all the time. We always get the round pizza mostly with garlic topping and well done. Perfect every time. Not greasy which is important to us.

Courthouse Pub used to be a dive bar with great food. Now it’s a dive bar with terrible food. I used to eat here weekly and they changed for the worse. Terrible service too; the server forgot my fiancé’s soda several times until I had to ask another server where my server had gone for 20 minutes, and then didn’t know what mine was(Jameson and ginger ale) so she had the bartender come and ask me. Needless to say, I WON’T be coming back and suggest the same to others.

Don’t understand why this place is not busy all the time, but especially on a Friday evening. Waitresses are always friendly and efficient. Tasty bread sticks to start. Got a fried haddock sandwich with choice of fries or rings. Enormous serving, lightly fried, fresh and as good as I’ve had and I’m a fried fisn sandwich regular at most places. Hubby had a pastromi on a nice roll and tried to be good so asked for a baked potato. No problem. Prices are very, very fair. Good size glass of wine. We’ve had other stuff at other visits(salads, parmigian, tips, different sandwiches) Again, why not more people on a regular basis. By the way, pizza is also good. Like places that are busy with people to talk with. Would be at the Courthouse more often. Excellent place. Go out a lot but first time writing a review. Think that much of CP.

Love the breadsticks, pizza and ENORMOUS breaded chicken fingers. Atmosphere is definitely divey(I always opt for take out)…and sometimes you have to wait awhile(even if you call in your order ahead of time).

I was skeptical about coming here. I drive by it every night on my way home from work and it looks like a typical dive . Finally decided to give it a go for lunch and I guess I could say it surprised me a little. We got a large pizza($ 6.50!) And order of breadsticks and a Buffalo blue burger. The burger was good. Nothing outstanding but I was more than happy with it. I didn’t have any of the pizza hot but my girlfriend loved it and cold out is the fridge it was pretty good later on. The breadsticks… These threw me for a loop. When they showed up on the table I took one look at them and was 80% sure i didn’t want to eat them. They aren’t the greatest looking things ive had served to me. They give u a bottle of oil to have with them, the bottle had some hot flakes in the bottom but some greens in there would help the appearance a lot. Well despite my initial reaction to not eat the breadsticks. I tried them. Damn they were good. Like delicious! I think they just need to work on their appearance. Everyone who worked here was extremely nice. The place itself… Could use an easy revamp to make it look a little nicer. Maybe a quick paint job in the dining room. I didn’t go over to the bar side. Maybe ive been watching to much of that show Bar Rescue but I found myself saying I would paint this replace that and bam! This place would jump up a notch. Maybe the owner should check put the show for small tips.

Great place for food! Steak tips. are to die for, the buffalo fingers are incredible. Pizza is the best! It’s a little hole in the wall pub but they have a separate dining room area to eat in. Average on prices also…

The food here is AWESOME. I’ve read the two reviews here and well, these 2 people obviously don’t get ‘it’. Where else can you get a great, strong drink for 6 bucks and the BEST haddock Parm for $ 8.50…I go here once a week from Malden, its that good… ohhh and when the bartender asked if she was ‘too slow”.she was probably bustin’ em on ya cause you were new. Gotta love Wendy… should have given it more time or try it again. Wed nights are great! Wendy and Karen make the best duo bartenders on the North Shore

OK, I am completely gullible. I was starving & didn’t feel like going out, so flipping through the menu guide in the phonebook, I found this place that said«Delivery» and«Best Pizza on the North Shore». Great, I think to myself. Delivery in Peabody from somewhere other than a sub shop(I miss Salem). Well, the pizza sucks and I don’t think I want to try anything else on the menu. Won’t be eating here ever again.
