I have worked for a few contractors and one thing I began to realize was they were grossly overcharging their clients to make themselves rich. It didn’t seem right to me. I started this business because I love to build and to feed my family, not to get rich. I have kept this mindset to this very day.

My grandfather use to tell me stories of the houses he had built. When he told those stories the pride I heard in his voice instilled a longing in me to be able to tell my children and grandchildren about the homes I worked on with that same note of pride in my voice. I strive every day to live up to the standards my grandfather adhered to his whole life. My father was a handyman for a few years when I was about 6 years old. He was the one that taught me to always finish what you started. My brothers and I helped him on a few jobs. I remember even as a child how much I enjoyed helping build something. Stepping back when the job is over and admiring your work is one of the most rewarding feelings you can have besides helping someone in need.
