I went to Time Out to donate some household items today. As I arrived in the back, there was a couple donating their items as well. The woman said, jokingly, «Let me guess… you have clothes to donate?» I said, «Yes» and the man working(I assume he is in charge) looked up at me and said«Take them home!» Of course with his rudeness and bluntness, I assumed he was joking and I giggled slightly. Then he said, «No. I’m serious. Take them home.» I then told him that most of the bag was actually bedding and he scoffed. I then said, «Do you want me to take my donations elsewhere?» and he replied rudely, «No, I guess I’ll take them.» I then said, «No, I’ll take them elsewhere.» He then went into a spiel about being understaffed and having too much inventory. Not my problem. In this situation, the man could have easily said, «Hey, thanks for your donation, but unfortunately we have too much inventory right now. But here’s a list of other places to take your donations.» Based on the demeanor and rudeness of the man in charge, I would steer clear of this place. Take your donations somewhere else and then he’ll be wishing he had too much inventory.
