Majestic Mountain Inn

Decided to bug out of Phoenix for the day due to the excessive heat (120). Flag was just a bit too far so we opted for Payson. We booked a dog friendly suite last minute and made the hour and a half drive north. While the motel wasn’t as remote or set back as we’d prefer, it turned out to be a very clean, accommodating and fantastic retreat for us. It’s right off the Payson highway but is very quiet. Staff was super friendly and checked us in quickly. Our deluxe suite with in-​room jacuzzi, fireplace and rear patio with dog friendly grassy area was perfect. The motel pool was great and we had it to ourselves for about an hour. Our evening consisted of a fabulous dinner at nearby Fargo’s Steak House which is within a very short walk from the motel. Fargo’s is a must for dinner if your staying at the Majestic. We will be back!

My husband and I stayed for one night with our toddler in a Queen bed room with a fireplace and porch (Deluxe maybe? Can’t remember!). We attempted to book online a few days before but ran into a snag and ended up calling the Inn. The lady on the phone couldn’t have been kinder! We had it booked in a jiffy. When we arrived everyone was friendly and the room was VERY clean and comfy! The linens were nice, the fireplace and A/​C were easy to work, and did I mention everything was spotless! Yay! The porch was super cute and the grassy space courtyard was excellent for our little man to explore. We also appreciated that we could park right in front of our room. Only tiny drawback was that the comp hot breakfast wasn’t what we were looking for and we ended up going to a café, but truly that’s a small thing. Love Payson, too. We’d stay again in a heartbeat!

My husband and I decided on a last minute overnight trip with our sons (ages 10 and 5) to Payson and luckily were able to reserve this the same day. Driving into the place had a «campy» feel which we liked. Upon getting in our room, we also enjoyed the rustic feel of the room in which we stayed. It seemed more like a small cabin actually. It had a cozy fireplace as well. The kids liked that. The room that we stayed jn had 2 queen-​sized beds. It had a TV and small refrigerator. The room was clean and was decorated tastefully. They also offered free breakfast. The breakfast was the simple with the «classic» breakfast food. It wasn’t anything special
but then again, it worked in our favor because we had horseback riding plans for early, so we didn’t have to make an extra stop (or pay more) for breakfast. We only stayed one night since it was a last-​minute booking and the next night was already taken. If we were to visit Payson again, we would stay there again.

I stayed in the room with a King sized bed that had a fireplace and a spa. Very relaxing. When I checked in I wasn’t told much of anything (like where anything was around the property) but it wasn’t a big deal. I just popped in later to ask my questions. I was given some bath salts that were amazing to use in the tub. I love a good bath and you will get that in this room! The carpet was stained and very outdated but that was the only thing wrong with that room. The bathroom sink would also clog but that wasn’t a big deal either. I called to let the office know and someone came very quickly to pour draino down. It didn’t work but it was nice they were so on top of things.
I loved the little patio right outside the room. There were beautiful trees everywhere. Aside from being right off a main road it was still peaceful to sit outside in the morning. It’s close to anything you might need which is nice but being my first time in Payson I wanted to be some where much more secluded. I plan on staying here again in the future though. This would be a perfect stay for couples!

Well majestic did it again! This is our sixth time staying at majestic in payson. We have always stayed in the luxury king suit with the hot tub right in our room. And it is always AMAZING. This last time however we were a bit short on time with a late arival. We got in about 1130 pm. This time we stayed in the king deluxe. The front desk was very accommodating and put our room key in a lock box so we could get into our room after hours. This was perfect and allowed us peace of mind and not having to rush to get there. When they ran my credit card it was declined and they still put our key in the lock box and didn’t even call us until 8 am to get things squared away. This was a huge huge huge plus in my book! as always the bed was soooo comfy and the room nice and quiet. The grounds are so romantic to walk around with my new fiancé. Their breakfast in the morning is such a great way to start the day. Complete with eggs sausage waffles and occasionally bisquits and gravy. I really can’t say enough about how much we love majestic. There is no other place we would even consider staying in payson. I look forward to our next stay. Thank you majestic for all the good memories

I stayed here this weekend with my boyfriend for a spontaneous weekend away, and I can definitely say worth every penny, was absolutely amazing! We stayed in the deluxe king room, and we arrived a little late Friday to a warm clean room! Bed was huge and so very comfortable with multiple pillows that are super soft, huge & fluffy, upon checkin they give you a basket with home made bath salts that you can take, multiple kinds and they give you as many as you would like, the breakfast was also home made and delicious. We forgot our portable stove top and needed to make dinner Saturday evening and they were very accommodating when we asked if there was any way we could cook on cite and they actually gave us a stove top and pan we could take to our room! The staff are very friendly and helpful with all our questions we had! Now back to the room, the bed and sheets were very clean and neatly made, the bath tub was clean and stocked with little bottles of soaps and lotions (also bubble bath for the tub) and the fire place keeps the room very warm so we didn’t have to worry about getting cold, there were tons of towels so we didn’t even need to ask for more! The wifi works great. Mini fridge came in handy. Overall the hotel was awesome and we can’t wait to go back! We are already planning our next stay! New favorite place to stay in payson! (:

Stayed here with my husband. Beautiful room with fireplace, jacuzzi tub and comfy bed. Staff was helpful and nice. Definitely recommend the Majestic Mountain Inn.

Me and my wife of going on five years went hear for a little vacation. The staff was friendly and nice. The rooms were huge, clean and had a very fresh smell and feeling to it. Huge bed, refrigerator, fireplace, and a jet spa tube. We enjoyed our stay here and will be back.
Cons: No microwave, and the room is so big the AC for the room cannot keep the bathroom cool. You gone sweat bullets trying to use that bathroom lol!

Love this hotel so clean and staff is friendly! Would come back to stay here free breakfast from 730am-​9am! Stores and fastfood & resturants are close by

My husband and I were stuck! We made a reservation at another hotel that was a pit! We were told that everything in town was sold out so we started calling around. It was either that or go home! We spoke to a woman here (I think her name was Jessica) who said I have 2 suites left. We asked her to hold one that we were just down the street. When we arrived 5 minutes later, the staff was so awesome! Understanding what we had just experienced. They went out of their way to make us comfortable right away. It was clean, comfortable, and charming!!! I can’t tell you when the last time I had such a great night sleep away from home. We will recommend the Majestic Mountain Inn to all of our valley friends. We will visit again very soon!!!

I like staying here but I had some problems from 7÷4−7÷6÷15. First the community ice maker didn’t work. If management knows that, they should put a note on the machine and keep some in the office in some ice chests. Monday morning they had some sort of sewage back up caused by the county. I realize that wasn’t their fault (The loud noise woke us up at 8 AM and the room reeked) but when we went for breakfast at 9 (it runs until 9:30) they said they weren’t serving anymore due to the other problem. I said OK, just give me a credit on my bill and was told that breakfast wasn’t factored into the rate. Huh? So I went and payed for breakfast somewhere else. I like the atmosphere and will stay there again. I admit I was a little mean to the front desk girl about the breakfast and I apologize for that but the staff needs to learn how to multi-​task during a minor crisis. It’s not like the hotel was on fire or something. Also, they are very dog friendly.

Great rooms, two person spa was nice and they don’t overcharge which is refreshing. The breakfast in the morning was good.

My husband and I booked a room here for my Birthday. I was excited about the Jacuzzi tub in the room. With that and the fire place and big comfy bed it was a great romantic and relaxing stay. I also enjoyed sitting on the patio to the room drinking my free morning coffee from them and watching the cute lil squirrels run around. The staff was friendly, room was clean everything worked. Nothing bad to say about this place.

I have always loved staying at Majestic Mtn Inn. The rooms are large and cozy. My most recent trip I was not so impressed. The shower floor did not look clean at all and the coffee pot was the filthiest coffee pot I have ever seen. I poured filtered water in with the intention of only heating the water up to make hot chocolate in a cup and I ended up with oily water with chunks in it. There was sludge inside the pot just under the rim and also the reservoir where you pour the water with some type of oily film. I am so disgusted.

Hmmm, well everything was fine except our sink was clogged and the heater would not turn on. We called the front desk and no maintenence was on site on New Years Eve… strange. So she came with draino, which did nothing. One kleenex was left in the box as well. Not cool. We had to unplug the heater… plug it back in and it started working. Then we couldn’t figure out how to turn the heat off, so we had to unplug it. The room was fine, the hottub was excellent but the bathroom/​shower was kinda gross. It was not a comfortable/​soothing experience taking a shower that’s for sure. The décor is very outdated as well. I rate this hotel as average. We got a 15% discount on our next stay due to us complaining at checkout, but we probably won’t be back unfortunately.

If you are looking for an old, dirty, rundown hotel, The Majestic Mountain Inn is your spot. After you drag your luggage up exterior stairs to your room, accessible from the outside, leave your shoes on to avoid the dirty carpet! Cheap sheets, crappy pillows, one cheap bathroom towel & wash cloth. We paid a laughable $ 149 for this dump. The room we reserved «a deluxe king» wasn’t available. No notes in our reservation. And, the snotty manager said we could have booked the same high quality room today for $ 69. Yuk!!!

The property grounds are very clean and nice. They had no problems having my dog with us. Friendly staff, green grass beautiful pines close to town. Would be happy to stay again.

Checked into this hotel and checked right back out 5 minutes later. Was told the pool was open and it was being remodeled. Staff was not very friendly once we decided the dead bugs under the bed wasn’t up to my standards. On top of all of it. They ran my card for the room and kept ahold of my money for over 5 days. Still haven’t got my money back. This place is down right disgusting!
For a few bucks more we were able to stay down the road at comfort inn and had such a better experience.

My wife and I chose majestic mountain because of the reviews. They advertise a king suite with a two person spa in the suite. Let me tell you it is pretty sweet!
It is nestled right off one of the main highway, and right next to a really nice steakhouse. Although we did not eat up the steakhouse this time it is a nice restaurant. Next time we’re in the area will probably stay there again

We came to Payson for our anniversary and stayed in the king luxury suite in this hotel. Wow! Huge room, big comfy bed and the two person spa was perfect for a few romantic nights. The fireplace and heater kept the room toasty, but it’s best to turn off the fireplace (yes, it’s gas) before you go to sleep, otherwise it will light up the room when it kicks on!
The room was clean and the furnishings well-​maintained. The spa took a very long time to fill and the faucet was extremely loud. We could hear the one in the room next door at 11:30 pm when they returned, and again both times they added water. That made for a sleepless night.
The complimentary breakfast should be avoided if you are really hungry. We settled for bagels because the eggs & sausage were rubbery & tasteless. 260 Café is just up the street and much better. The Beeline Café on South 87 is even better!
We would definitely come back here. The grounds were well-​maintained and the staff friendly and helpful.
