Mill Creek Campground & RV Park

Stayed one night. Lovely campground in the middle of gorgeous farmland. Quaint and relaxing. Level sites, pull throughs, full hook ups with 50 amp available. Terrific owners. Train runs very close by. Some find it distracting, I found it soothing.

We had a HORRIBLE experience with the HORRIBLE LADY WITH BAD METH TEETH. I dont know for sure if she was a meth head but her teeth were GREEN and horrible probably to match her attitude when we had reserved a cabin and had come in the next day… she wanted to charge us for 2 days!!! We were happy to stay the one day but she wouldnt work things out and sorry there is no cancellation policy fee nor has there ever been! My husband and his family have been going there since he was a teen… he is now in his 40’s! So for the last 30 yrs this place has been wonderful up until now.
These people are clueless, the place has gone downhill ever since. Cabins are rundown, bathrooms are nasty and the laundry machines dont work. Stay away… go to Perry lake instead!

Absolutely loved experiencing this little town with a population of 220. Very grateful for the campground hosts hospitality too. Because of the annual ‘meatloaf festival’ (last wkend in June), the campground was full (I guess this is rare, but it was Friday night at 6:00 PM). The host was very gracious in offering a large grass area right next to the old train station on the property if we wanted to dry camp Yay!!! We were delighted — no neighbors and plenty of open space for our little pups to run after a long day on the road.
This town is literally 4 – 5 antiques stores, a town hall, Post office, the campground and a bar, nothing else. No gas and no grocery.
But it is charming!!!
Now I must warn you that the tiny town is on one side if the railroad tracks and the campground on the other side and it is within feet, not a block or so but feet. When the first train went by, the trailer shook a little and my little dog jumped in my lap, conversation stopped and we ran outside to see this massive invention thunder by. What a sight to see and hear, especially while standing on the wooden platform of the old train depot. I counted 8 trains during the night and each time it woke me I smiled, knowing that I was experiencing this small town to the fullest.
Aside from the central camp sight area there are also spacious sites along the creek for tents and small trailers.
We loved our night, would highly recommend it if you truly want andadventure into Kansas life.

This place is beautiful but very isolated.
The town of Paxico, KS is only a few antique stores (about 8 or 10), a post office and the camping!
Not even a gas station, restaurant or convenience store!!! Nothing!!!
It’s s place to relax and see some antiques (this you can do in half a day!)
Issues: train tracks very close. I counted 6 from 11:00pm to 7:00am!!! Also they close the bathrooms on winter as the pipes frozen.
We let our RV there wile drove to CO as there were too much snow storms coming and decide to drive on our Jeep to the mountains. Was a good idea as we encountered a lot of snow packed roads!
But even with this problems I think will worth stay here for one or two days

Just got a new Camper thought it would be a great weekend to try it out. Had a friend suggest Mill Creek Campground. It was a great place to spend the weekend, The Facilities were immaculate. The town is a short walk away and full of interesting shops to visit. We will defiantly be returning
