We protect the rights of individuals and businesses. We represent debtors and creditors in bankruptcy filings and act as your advocate in hearings and/​or meetings involving debtors, creditors, bankruptcy trustees and the Bankruptcy Court. Our experience also encompasses adversary complaints for non-​dischargeability of debts, proofs of claims, litigation and appellate work.

We also protect the rights of individuals who have been the victims of fraud or misrepresentation in commercial transactions, including lemon law claims, auto fraud actions, unfair debt collections cases, or mortgage fraud claims.

Furthermore, our lawyers work with individuals struggling with family law issues, including divorce, custody, support, adoption, paternity and prenuptial agreements

At the Family and Consumer Law Center of Christopher M. Lefebvre, Esq., we draw upon over 47 years of legal experience to help individuals and businesses throughout Pawtucket and the surrounding communities. Because of our extensive experience, we can resolve even the most challenging legal issues, and we are never afraid to take your case to Court if necessary to protect your interests.

Meet the Business Owner

Christopher M. L.

Business Owner

Christopher M. Lefebvre, Esq. practices family, bankruptcy and consumer protection law. He is the only R.I. and M.A. attorney that is a Certified Personal Finance Counselor. Chris is a member of the debtor/​creditor committee of the Rhode Island Bar Association and is a frequent speaker on consumer matters. He was the 1995 recipient of the Rhode Island Bar Association’s Pro Bono Publico Award for his commitment to equal access to justice for the poor. To date, his largest case was the Sears bankruptcy class action suit where 190,000 former debtors received restitution in excess of $ 175 million. Chris received his B.S. from Boston College and his J.D. from Suffolk University Law School.
