We specialize in all things strings. We rent, repair, sell and make violins, violas and cellos. We carry a full line of accessories for the string player including bows, strings and cases. We also have Kala and Kiwaya brand ukuleles and uke products. McCarten Violins is the ONLY full service string instrument shop in the Greater Providence Area.
History
Established in 2006.
Dennis McCarten graduated from the violin making program of the North Bennet Street School in Boston in 2006. He opened this shop in the fall of 2006 and the business has been steadily growing ever since.
