Established in 2012.

Shortly after buying a house in the Pawleys Island area we discovered that we had also purchased some severe moisture-​related air quality issues. We now owned a large Petri dish replete with stale, musty odors, persistent mildew buildup, a cool, dank rain forest of a crawl space, and who knows what else.

We explored many options — including some very expensive ones like crawl space encapsulation — and found in the Moisture Control & Ventilation System (MCV) an effective, affordable cure for our moisture-​ridden, sick dwelling. We had to create a way to share it — and the countless benefits of fresher, cleaner, drier household air — with fellow residents of our region.

So here we are: Consumers with firm personal conviction in a product resulting from our own tried and true experience, and now: Business Owners — exclusive local dealers of the MCV Systems — whose primary objectives of educating and mitigating comprise the very premises through which Coastal Dry Home was born.

Unlike most dehumidifier-​based systems we provide the approved means for conditioning crawl spaces as set forth by the EPA, DOE & International Code Council. In addition to our crawl space system we also have units designed for basements, condos, apartments and slab homes.
