My husband and I stopped in for an appetizer and cocktail. The aribiati app was yummy, better with extra sauce. Drinks were fine, nice selection. It was slow, so the wait staff were stumbling over one another, 3 behind the bar at one point. They greeted us when we came in, but struggled to get a menu to us after we sat. Their service needs fine tuning, the girls are very nice, but lack direction to be busy when the restaurant is slow… there is always something to be doing. Then someone from the back area with gloves on came out of the bathroom with his gloves on, rubbing his nose and then touching chairs and doors. I prayed he did not cook our app. Overall the atmosphere is great and the food was good.

Grew up in an Italian home in RI where most of everything we ate was made from scratch. Moved to eastern CT almost 4 years ago and the one thing we noticed very quickly was the quality of the food(Restaurants & Supermarkets) was so far less than we were used to and expected. After completely giving up on going out to eat, we were told about a Bistro on Broad Street in Pawcatuck. I was told that they served«Real» Italian food. I had to judge for myself. Last Thursday I stopped in for lunch. I took my son with me and we sat at the bar. Very nicely decorated. Unique atmosphere(great mix of formal and edgy-ness) I love an open kitchen. They have nothing to hide and the place is immaculate. We started with the Calamari appetizer. I will start by saying there is not a better Calamari dish in the state of CT. The perfectly cooked calamari and the depth of flavors will leave you speechless. For the entrée I ordered the Pappardelle with Bolognese Sauce. Unlike many Italian dishes, this is one that takes all day to prepare and we simply don’t have enough time to make this as often as we would like at home. The pasta was cooked perfectly, the sauce was simply delightful. The different levels of flavors with the meats and vegetables made this dish an old school standout. I had to look around to see if I was really in Pawcatuck CT. Absolutely outstanding. My son ordered a bacon cheese burger with fresh cut fries. This is a freshly made burger, not a patty. It was cooked exactly as requested and 2 days later, my son is still talking about it. The fresh cut fries were also a big hit. We were both stuffed after lunch but couldn’t resist splitting a piece of the homemade cheesecake. It was a good thing we only ordered 1 piece because it was almost too big for 2 people. It was fresh and creamy… a perfect ending The bartender was very attentive. The service was impeccable. Extremely friendly wait staff. Prices were very reasonable. They also make all of their own breads and pizzas in their brick oven which you can see from the dining room. Whether your’e looking for great Italian food or a great burger, this is the place to be.

My husband and I have been here twice and both times the food and service were underwhelming. We were really hoping to like it as we live in the area. The service was slow and the waitress didn’t know much about the drink menu. The food was bland and under spiced. Here’s to hoping the management /owners read this and step up their game!!!

Ignored my wife’s allergy and cut our night out short. Food was poor at best. Over cooked salmon and ordered medium rare filet and received well done. Better off going to dairy queen up the street. Nice response! – From the only table at your restaurant last night, good luck!

The atmosphere is nice but the service is very, very, very slow. Perhaps they were not ready for customers yet but the service was so slow that I am not sure I will be back. The food was good though!

Third visit in the past year. Love the menu. Tonight was carbonara and the seafood risotto. Both were excellent. The Risotto had no mussels– out of season. Exceptional house salad. The coffe was great. I like a strong coffee, it was perfect. We will be back.

Great food and atmosphere! Right down the street from downtown Westerly RI. Not overly crowded and has a great bar area. We sat at a private, cozy corner table in the bar. Arancini appetizer is a must! Happy hour is such a great price with $ 4 wines and $ 5 cocktails. Dawn the bartender makes awesome drinks! Cheesecake is homemade. Definitely check it out!

Looks promising but doesn’t live up to the menu. My husband and I have been wanting to try this place for awhile. We went in recently for a late lunch. there were only a few customers at the time. Three stars for friendly service. The menu looked great, the food looked great… but was disappointing. Although it looked professional, it tasted more like a home cook replicating what they had in a restaurant. I had the special appetizer with seared scallops. Most of them were slightly undercooked and cool in the center with plenty of sand, But I was starving and ate it. My husband had the crab cake trio. Those were good, but not really served with enough sauce. For main course he had the Pasta Ala Broadstreet. He thought is was okay but not very tasty. I had the seafood risotto. The seafood was perfectly cooked and this time the scallops were done, but i was weary of the clams. I liked it, but honestly it just wasn’t special. This is the reason I didn’t order dessert. I just didn’t want to pay for more mediocre food. Forgot to mention, if you are looking for gluten free, this place is not for you. In a nutshell the food is okay, but largely forgettable. Seriously doubt we would go back. Again, the service is great.

My wife and I went to BroadStreet Bar for the first time on November 7th. We had an overall great experience. I had the burger and handout fries and they were wonderful. My wife enjoyed the Arancini Appetizer and a Cesar Salad and she was pleased with her choices. They have a good draft beer selection and a fully stocked bar. Our server was Jackie and she was very pleasant and efficient. My only criticism is that our cloths smelled smokey after we left, as the restaurant is relatively small and the cooking area is open(could use a better ventilation system). That said we were happy we visited this establishment and we will return soon.

Went for lunch for the first time and found it to be quite an attractive restaurant. The waitress was very accommodating and very pleasant. We only had two dishes. My wife had the appetizer, ARANCINI, which was phenomenal!!! Portugese style croquettes filled with meat and cheese and risotto with lemon Gorgonzola cream, spicy marinara and spinach. The sauce was not spicy at all…($ 7) You will absolutely like this appetizer. I had the 8 oz. bacon cheeseburger with thick bacon and cheddar. Was a very tasty, grilled burger but I ordered it medium rare and got it medium well to well done. I did tell the waitress and finished it regardless. But I will be reminding them the next time. The prices are very reasonable considering other places that offer similar dishes for more money. Looking forward to having dinner here soon. Has a limited parking lot.

Holy smokes! This place is AWESOME! My boyfriend and I went in for dinner for the first time on a Saturday night. The dining room was steady so we sat at the bar. I have to rave about our bartender Kara, she was terrific in every way possible and the reason why we will be back on top of the quality of the food. The food was phenomenal as is the décor!!! A well deserved 5 stars!

Visited this new restaurant the weekend it opened. My review is a bit late because I simply forgot to write it. The staff is friendly and attentive. The menu, which is a decent size, covers the majority of the bases. Best mashed potatoes I have ever had. The owners walked around and introduced themselves. Strongly recommend you try it!

Dined here recently with my wife and son, ended up trying it out by chance. We were in the area looking for someplace interesting and drove past. I’d never heard of it and it looked inviting so we went in. Very new and very nicely done interior. Someone put a lot of thought into the tasteful design. There’s an open kitchen off the dining room and a small bar area. Our server was excellent — friendly and knowledgeable. She impressed me when we needed to replace the dead flat soda my son had. After she went to get it replaced she returned right away to let us know that they were replacing the soda and it would be a couple minutes. Most places the staff doesn’t communicate about simple things like this. Small thing but makes a difference. Onto the food — We started with some PEI mussels which were outstanding. Clean, grit-free and fresh. The Caesar salad was also excellent, with a good balance of dressing to greens and just the right hint of anchovie. I ordered a braised pork shank which was literally fall-off-the-bone tender. It was on a bed of perfect mashed potatoes and all of it was great. We also ordered a steak frites which was cooked beautifully, delicious, and the frites were damn good too. They have a good selection of local beers, wine, cocktails and for dessert they make in house some tasty treats. We had the beignets which are served with a warm chocolate sauce and a raspberry sauce. Really good. Prices are very reasonable, service was excellent, restaurant is clean and very comfortable. Definitely will be back.

We stopped here for dinner at the bar after passing it driving down the road. The clean elegant décor will draw you in. We had three menu items while sitting at the beautiful custom ‘red bar’ w bartender Jamie. Great food! Very fresh & modern. Absolutely wonderful customer service at the bar. Nice curb appeal & a social place to meet new friends. Arancini appetizer… a MUST! Gourmet Pizza… a MUST! Grilled Salmon… a MUST!

Cute place, service was ok. Friendly but likely a new server. Salad dressing has strong mustard flavor, came as a surprise. Not a fan of mustard so not a fan of the salad. Had the pork shank. Had to send it back, potatoes were cold. They recovered well replating a fresh meal but still disappointing. Place was not busy, no excuse.

I’ve been there twice and I can’t get past the plastic flowers on the tables??? It would look better with nothing than plastic! Try candles! Today, the calamari portion was the smallest I’ve ever had. Last week I was there with a party of 12 and the food was just ok. They don’t have gluten free bread, pasta or pizza:(

I was excited to give this new restaurant a try. From the street the interior looked inviting. As for the dining experience, it was OK. The atmosphere was great, good service, reasonably priced and the food was good, not great. I got the pan seared lemon statler chicken, my boyfriend got the bacon cheeseburger. He enjoyed his burger. The chicken was OK, but I didn’t care for the mashed potatoes, they tasted almost like instant, though, I know they weren’t as they had lumps. The veggies of the day were a mix of broccoli, carrots and cauliflower, seemed a bit dated but tasted ok. I prefer something like brussel sprouts, asparagus or squash. I’ll definitely go back but may order something different. The pizzas looked good. Maybe once they’ve been open a little while they’ll refine the menu a bit. Definitely worth checking out.
