We drive by this place everyday and it has not been open for a few days. No bands or Open mic night on the janky light up sign out front either. Tried calling their number and it is out of service as well. I am assuming it is closed for business. Not sure if it is for a short time for a vacation or if it finally bit the dust. Call before going to this place it may be out of business!!!

It’s not that hard to serve a few drinks and food but this place continues to be a disappointment as a local bar/restaurant. The food took over an hour and after waiting at the bar for 10 min the bartender finally asked if I wanted anything. Never again

My fiancée and I were staying at a nearby campground and were intrigued by the thought of going to this so called Irish pub. Upon our arrival we saw that there were just a few cars in the parking lot and some people were sitting out on a patio. We entered and saw maybe eight people sitting at the bar and a lady was playing DJ style music. No one greeted us as we entered so we sat ourselves at a table near the bar. The bartender was busy serving and talking to a few guests at the other end of the bar. He never acknowledged our presence. We saw a server come in from outside and enter something into the pos system, she never looked at us or acknowledged us, even though we had been sitting thete for 5+ minutes. The bartender continued to joke around with a few of the bar patrons and ignored us. After ten minutes of waiting we got up and left. Obviously they didn’t need our business. By the way we were there for dinner and drinks. Their loss, we would never go back again.

It’s 3:30pm on a Tuesday afternoon after Memorial Day weekend. We just left the place and was really disappointed, we been here so many time when the live band was playing. there are only one waitress in the inside bar and she look around 60 year old n look like she’s not happy to be at work then why is she work at a bar is she is miserable and not a people person? My boyfriend and I just try to grab the pizza at the same time n spill out drink and the waitress didn’t even offer napkin or ask if we want another drink after that. I think the owner should look into it…

Nice live music. Over the weekend. Wish they had AC. Pool tables and an outdoor deck.

The Rocking Stone is the best kept secret in South Jersey. The only thing that would make it better is if it was right on the beach, which is what this bar reminds me of… a great beach bar from back in the day. Great bands on the weekends, reasonable prices and wonderful bartenders!

Good place for a drink. Didn’t order food but bar service was good and fast. Plenty of seating bar was huge. Defiantly a place to go if your thirsty.

Nice place but the old guy behind the bar in the polo shirt with the shitty attitude has to go. You can tell this guy has never tended a bar anywhere.

Visited this place while in town for work from Denver. Was thinking since I was close to the ocean, a good choice would be fish. Wow was I wrong. Fish & chips were horrible. Described as fresh Haddock with cole slaw and chips What was served was obviously frozen pressed fish meat, what kind who knows. The pieces were triangular shaped and all the exact same size. Obviously processed fish mystery meat. Natural cut fish filets do not come in exact dimensions. No cole slaw, the fries were obviously the frozen kind formed from potato paste, not fresh cut from real potatoes. The server did not know what malt vinegar was, no tater sauce. This place says it’s an Irish pub, and they don’t know what malt vinegar is? Mind you this place is near the shore, the fish & chips were priced at $ 16, I expected fresh food. Lesson learned, don’t go in a place that calls itself an Irish pub in an Italian neighborhood.

I play free WTP Poker on Tuesday nights. Two games 7P.M. and 9P.M.The food specials are awesome. The regular pizzas have lots of cheese on them. AND two large pizzas for the price of one. Every day. I can’t wait try the all you can eat, mussels, and crabs on Sundays. Tell them Money Mike from Tuesday poker sent you. Mike I wrote this about a year ago and never replied to Unilocal when I signed up so it just got posted. I wanted to write a new review but here is an update. I have a plethora of good things to say about the Rocking Stone. I go there once or twice a week. I may have gotten slow service or a wrong thing on an order but so what? Am I Little Lord Fauntleroy? I’ve never seen any grumpy servers so maybe the complainer from 4÷6÷2013 needs a review. And what is it with these people and their free nonalcoholic drink refills? The bar is doing you a good turn with the free refills. Maybe they should go around every 12 minutes with a refill cart. Do you add the cost of your 2 or 3 free refills to your tab when calculating the tip? I didn’t think so. Actually to be fair to the server you should add the price of 2 or 3 beers when you calculate the tip. How do you like them apples? Maybe the bar should check the lot for the car of drinkers nonalcoholic drink refills. If you’re not a driver no nonalcoholic drink refills.

Wow, this was when I just came into the Unilocal scene, pretty sure it was my second or third review. The newbie has grown since then and realized I need to do a ton more updates. I apologize for not using spell checker, capitalizing when starting a new sentence, and so forth. OK lets get into this update before I lose focus. It has been well over a year since I have been inside of the Rocking Stone Pub, but not a stranger to their outside bar. Their outside portion has a plenty of seating, umbrellas to shade you from the sun. A nice big bar and for your viewing enjoyment flat screens placed perfectly that avoids that glare if it too sunny out. The inside has gone through a major overhaul from what I remember. No longer is it dim and dreary they actually brightened it up where you could actually see where you are walking to. Fixed up the walls, added a new coat of paint, a fresher look to it. They also added some more high tables, a bigger dance floor, and improved the area where bands would come in and do their thing. Nice sized bar is still in play over here, with sporting events being watched. Their garlic parm wings that I mentioned before still hold true, it is their best wing flavor they have. The other food that they do here is OK, burgers are good, and from what it looks like they added more to their menu. The service area is a little on the down side though. I was in here and I had to waive down 2 others because the guy taking my order was too busy with other things not related to his job. I applaud the other 2 for coming to my aid when it came time for a refill. From the past I never had that issue while I was outside. Only issues is the highway located right there, but this shouldn’t steer you away from this location. Look at it this way, easy access points to get to and go home. The bartender that wasn’t really there when it was key. Good sports bar to go get a cold brew and watch a game, still good stuff here.

The service was awful and the food was cold. Ok here it goes: 1st waitress comes over with an awful attitude, takes drink order. Brings drinks. 2nd waitress takes our food order. 2nd waitress says food will be coming soon. It took 1 hour to get some wraps, salad and pizza for a table of four. When food was delivered by 2nd waitress the two guests drinking beers got refills. The two empty non alcohol beverages weren’t asked about refills. Wraps were cold and soaked in pickle juice from the large dill pickle. 2nd waitress never comes back to check on us. Had to go to bar to get refills on the non-alcohol drinks. Had to wait even at the bar to get refills. No apology given for the guest having to get the refills. Another 15 minutes go by and we finally get are checked on again by second waitress, we asked for our check, paid and left. Never will we eat food here. It will be a long time until we return for beverages.

It is so hard to find a local Bar/Pub when I’m on the road. The truck stops are normally on the outskirts of town. When I knew that I was to spend the night here at the TA truck stop in Paulsboro, NJ I opened up Unilocal and found this place. It’s Monday night and I was really surprised that they would have live music. They started put with a opening band that Segway’d into a live open mike night. What a great thing to find and listen to on a Monday Night. Along with the music they also have a varied menu, from pasta to steak, to great stemmed mussels. If you are a local don’t look down on this place just because its near the truck stop. If you are a Driver spending a night at the TA, then forgo the trip stop meal and step over here for a great time. Thank You to Bob and his Crew of great Ladies for the warm welcome! Pat Sr.

Decided to try this place for lunch take out. I have heard good things about the food so I called to place the order, Amy took my order and I had to repeat myself about 6 time and she really didn’t listen to what I was saying, she repeated the order back and it all sounded good. When we got there we waited and waited and about 10 min later Amy appeared but didn’t let us know what was going on, an older woman said she was bagging everything up. She came back and fourth out of the kitchen a few times asked I guess her manager for advice on packaging and about 20 min later came back with our food. Two of the 4 orders were wrong, I said something to the manager but she just shrugged her shoulders and proceeded to look for a gift card that she was missing. So we paid and left because I had to get back to work. Amy is new so I hope that may have been our issue. I must say the food is good, even though it was wrong and even though we she repeated it back to me. Everyone enjoyed their food. I enjoyed me chicken parm sandwich, which I didn’t order, the sauce was nice and chicken was tender and fresh as well as the roll. Overall I’d give them another chance but just not at lunch, we used our whole lunch break waiting but the food was good so it wasn’t that bad even though it was wrong.

This place is pretty cool, but has the potential to be a lot better. They understaff too much so it can be a little slower getting served… overall I like the place, I just think its got a Hell of a lot more potential!!!

I been to this bar about a dozen times in the last 2 years, always on a Friday or Saturday night, to see a friend’s band. I have consistently received very bad service from the bartenders in the main bar. There are usually 3 people behind the bar, which is plenty to handle the crowd, but they stand around and don’t scan the bar to see if someone needs a drink. When they DO walk around, they don’t make eye contact or even look at the EMPTYGLASSESPUSHEDTOTHEEDGEOFTHEBAR! It’s very frustrating to have to call out to them for their attention. It takes a good 5 – 7 minutes to get a drink, and NOT because they’re waiting on other patrons.

Been here a few times for friends bands. Have only tried the standard bar food but it was good. Decent sized bar, good music on the weekends, and one of the area’s best open mics Monday night. Check it out!
