Ordered a sundae and cheese fries. The sundae was covered in old strawberries and water and the cheese on the cheese fries had obviously been out too long and was like glue. Way overpriced for that kind of poor quality. It’s a shame, it is one of the last places of its kind in the area.

I’ve been coming to Don & Bert’s since I was a little girl and I have always loved it. If you aren’t from the area you wouldn’t know that they are famous for their cheese fries. Don & Berts cheese fries literally have their own page on Facebook. with an impressive amount of fans too! The burgers are small, but good. I waited on the new owner a few times at my previous job(he was a regular) and he is a very nice guy. He tries to improve the place while keeping it’s roots, which is appreciated. Ice cream is always on point as well as the milkshakes. CASHONLY! If you’re ever passing through Paulsboro stop in for some fries and a shake or an ice cream cone! Don & Berts is definitely a classic. I took away one star because I think the quality could be improved just a bit(& don’t be so skimpy with the wiz on the fries!) random tip: if you’re into cherry pepsi try the candied chopped cherries in a fountain pepsi. I’ve gotten some funny looks ordering this but it’s so good with a burger and fries !

I had a chocolate banana shake and a double cheese burger. Burger was regular not bad but uneventful and small but good. I thought the shake was awesome.

This place is a Paulsboro staple, but has definitely lost a step or two. For the price it’s not really worth it, it’s more nostalgia at this point. The burgers are super thin, the cheese steaks are tiny, I come here at this point for the cheese fries.

If there was a 12 step program for ice cream addictions, this place would probably distract me from completing the course… Anyplace that still serves Richman’s Ice Cream has my business whenever I can get there. Although I never have tried any, there’s a menu full of good from the fryer and grill. The cheese fries must be a favorite since I saw a few orders being eaten on my way in. The ice cream prices are a bargain, and the serving size is enough to make you stuffed and looking forward to your next visit. They’ve been around for awhile, so its good to see a quality business still in the area.

I’ve been visiting D&B for many years, and they’re consistently good at all the standard fare you seek when stopping at a custard stand. Cheese fries here are the BEST! Ice cream and custard treats are all very good. The burgers, cheese steaks, etc., are fine — not the best I’ve ever had, but good. Overall a worthwhile spot to stop if you’re in the area and need to satisfy some cravings, not spend too much money, and are in the mood for a casual atmosphere. A few picnic tables outside on a concrete pad, plenty of parking(many folks end up sitting in cars/trucks while eating), no inside seating. Come as you are, and you’ll see people in formal attire(it’s a favorite local join so sometimes a visit is due after a wedding, church, graduation, party, etc.), sports gear(after games), beach and pool outfits, and even pjs!

Gotta bump it up a notch. these guys do a great job, prices are very reasonable. and i recently ordered another burger. gotta say it was damn good. better than the first time… added a peanut butter milkshake to the mix and it was pure bliss. That and the service just gets better everytime

Good, creamy frozen custard, cheesesteaks, fast service. Great for a quick cone on a summer night.

I’ve been going to D&B’s for years. It’s one of those local places that’s almost become a tradition to go to. It’s a take out place, most people eat in their cars or at the picnic tables outside. The burgers are pretty thin, so don’t expect one or even two to fill you, but I like thin burgers so they’re fine for me. My favorite thing to order are the cheese fries… many people love the cheese fries here. Other menu items include cheesesteaks, chicken, and of course ice cream. Don & Berts has become one of those ‘must go to’ places that I miss, so I try to make a stop whenever I’m back in my home state, as I’ve since moved away.

Fries were hot from the oil, which is good. The burger was super-thin and lost in the bun; not very flavorful, either. My family loves their shakes!
