Uceda and his family immigrated to the United States, they recognized the need for English language learning among the Latino and other immigrant populations in the United States, and they opened the first UCEDA school in Passaic County, New Jersey. UCEDA began with a simple idea to empower students through mastery of the English language and we’ve evolved into an ESL chain with many locations throughout North/​South America and Europe. For millions of individuals throughout the world, English continues to serve as a bridge to greater possibilities and success. History

Established in 1988.

The UCEDA schools have been promoting English language learning since 1988. When Carlos A. Uceda and his family immigrated to the United States, they recognized the need for English language learning among the Latino and other immigrant populations in the United States, and they opened the first UCEDA school in Passaic County, New Jersey. Later as English continued to gain acceptance around the world as the lingua franca for doing business.

Business Owner

Mr. Carlos A. Uceda is the CEO of Uceda Institute Inc. He has led the chain of schools for 25 years, managing the development of a proprietary line of textbooks, overseeing the instruction of many thousands of students, and growing a winning team of faculty and staff. Before beginning his entrepreneurial ventures, Mr. Uceda served as an Executive Director for INSUCAP, a licensed professional development school in Lima, Peru.
