I have been coming to this barbershop for over 5 years, Ray one of the owners is my barber. Always friendly and very professional, shape ups are always on point. it is one of the few places where they know how to properly cut hair with scissors. I’d recommend this place to anyone, regardless of the style of hair you’re looking to get.

Idk where these reviews came from but they are far from accurate! I went to this place firstly because my usual barber shop is under construction. I called the shop and spoke with someone named mike who assured me that they were the best at shape ups and have done it for so long and even sold me by saying they have a parking lot next to the shop for customers.
I get there and the so called parking lot is the side ally between 2 buildings with 6 or 7 cars parked so close to each other that theres no space to move around.
I get in and im just standing there for a minute until someobe asked me if i was there for a haircut, well obviously im not here to sell girl scout cookies. So i finally make it to the chair and the guy asked me what i wanted and i made it clear that i wanted a shape up with a brook and to keep it skin tight and trim the beard down and line up my beard, keeping a big box. I told him not to touch the hair on top because of my comb over. This guy starts going to town on my head then my beard.
About 15 minutes later he goes «how do you like it?» I looked at my head and saw that the left side of my head was faded completely but the right side was just clipped. He stated that it was new styles going around, which i highly doubt. Oh and the shape up i requested was totally butchered and both sides were uneven and just curved, there was no vertical box going up towards my hairline or anything. Then i looked at my beard to see that he shaved half my beard down from what it was. At this point i was beyond frustrated and told him it was good just so i could get out of there.
I went to go pay the guy and he said it was $ 17 so i gave him $ 20 and he goes «oh wait its actually $ 25 because he gave you a shave» so i thought to myself he gave me a shave? He didnt use shaving cream or anything. He used clippers to «line up» my beard and rubbed cocoa cocoa butter around my hairline to clean up with a straight razor. There was no shaving cream, hot towel, after shave or anything yet he expected me to pay him $ 25, so i did because i wasnt gonna sit there and argue over $ 8. I give him $ 30 and walk out and will never think about walking into this place again. They cant cut hair, they cant line up beards, they dont know what a shape up or fade is and clearly dont know the difference between a clean haircut and a shave is.
Overall id warn others to stay away because the reviews people give this place are highly fluffed and clearly enjoy over paying for something i couldve done at home. I hope this helps someone whos looking to go here in the future.

I Drive over 45 minutes to come to Palestine hair salon, where I’ve never left disappointed, never left without straight edges, and never left without looking better than how I walked in. Highly professional, properly trained, and all around a great experience. Atmosphere is fun and inviting. I am a customer for life or until I go bald.

I been coming here the last ⁷⁄₈ years now and I love it here. Theyre very precise with cutting my hair and they take very good care of me here. I love this place. I recommend this place hence the 5 stars

I use to stop here on lunch breaks to get my beard lined up. These gentlemen are pro’s — they csn shave, they can fade (properly), and they can work a pair of scissors… It’s been extremely difficult to find a barbershop as complete as this one, since leaving Jersey!

I don’t even want to write a review for this place because its secretly the best barber shop in NJ.
This place is family run, and gives the best haircuts.
$ 16 for a cut, $ 22 cut & shave. $ 8 shape up.
This place is the best because they know what looks good on you.
