I been to this place so many times and personally know the owners. They are great people and the sweets is from the best around town. Kunafeh is great especially if you eat a slice fresh at the store. Highly recomment this place.

Best Kunefeh in the states. They also have a variety of other famous Arabic sweets. You have to try the khishineh when you go.

I made an order, she got it wrong and then was rude to me about the mistake she made. Hmm… I told her not to put any sugar water on the iknafa and she did. When I said, «I said not to put sugar water on it» she rudely stated that it was just a little bit and wouldn’t make a difference. When I said«to a diabetic it would», she rudely sighed and got me a slice without sugar water. I will not return here. And… the sweets aren’t all that much better than the average Arabic grocery sweets.

A dear friend who lives in the area took us here on our way out of town. He said they were the best pastries around, and after having tasted them, we were pretty sure he was right! I don’t know Arabic, but did some research later and I’m pretty sure this is what we had: Luqaimaat: Tiny round doughnuts sweetened with honey and orange-blossom water — these were on a huge platter behind the counter. Baklawa: I liked this much better than the heavy Greek version: it was drier, made with pistachios instead of walnuts, and had a hint of rosewater. Knafeh: We had two types. One looked like bright orange pillows of shredded wheat; the other, like plain triangles of phyllo dough. Both had soft, sweet cheese inside and were sweetened with the same honey syrup with orange-blossom water. The gentleman waiting on us was extraordinarily helpful, and the interior was tiny but very clean and bright. I wished there was a place to sit and enjoy these treats, maybe with some Arabic coffee, but it seems like mostly a to-go market.
