Very friendly people, The Dominican cake is probably the best I have ever had. Everyone always loves the cake when I get it from here and they say it’s the best they’ve had too. Some placed drown the cake in icing but this place does a think layer and the cake is moist and the filling isn’t too much either. Growing up in Newark, I have tried quite a few places throughout Newark, Jersey City, Union City, Paterson etc. and now this is my goto place. They say the 1lb cake is for around 15 people but I think it feeds 20 – 25 easily.

I got a ½ lb. Dominican cake with strawberry filling here for my friend’s Superbowl party yesterday, and it tasted delicious!
I ordered it on late Saturday afternoon, and it was ready by 10:30am on Sunday. I’m glad they were able to accommodate at such short notice! The employees are really nice too.
TIP #1: If you don’t speak Spanish and you’re calling for a price estimate or to place an order, the first thing you should do is ask for their English-​speaking employee because the woman who answers the phone only speaks Spanish.
TIP #2: It’s *CASH ONLY* but there’s an ATM outside if you need one.
TIP #3: It’s located on the corner of 22^nd Ave. and E 32^nd St. behind the liquor store. In order to see it, you have to turn onto E 32^nd St. My GPS had a hard time finding it when I went to pick up the cake. The street of E 32^nd has plenty of potholes too, so be careful and drive slowly onto the street.
Pricing: ½ lb. of cake is $ 25 and supposedly feeds 10 people, but it can definitely feed more than 10. I can only imagine how much a full pound can feed! That size (1 lb.) is $ 40. It might cost extra if you want a design, but I only ordered a plain cake so I wouldn’t know.

The cake was not good as I thought it would be ! Disappointed they didn’t not add what we wanted on the cake. Poor customer service!!!

The cake is soooo good! All my guests loved my birthday cake. I ordered a half guava half pineapple filled vanilla cake. The icing was so good and light. I will definitely order from them again. The cake itself was super fresh and moist. I would recommend this cake!

Out of all the cakes i’ve had cakes from this place throughout the years, today i was VERY disappointed. 2 weeks ago i ordered a baptism cake for my god daughter for Sept. 6. Three days before i called and asked to switch the date for Saturday Sept 12 (TODAY) at 4:30. I show up, stand for about 15min because other people were waiting to pick up, and when she comes out and tells me my cake is dated for the 16^th. Angry is not even the word at this point. Who in world would do a baptism on a Wednesday!!! I had already paid half of the cake, i couldnt cancel the party last minute. The owner comes out with an attitude and asks if the party is today, OBVIOUSLY! She offered to make the cake, but has to be picked up at 8. I said ok because i wasnt going to get a last minute cake anywhere at 5pm. She walked away and rolled her eyes. These people shouldnt take on more than they can handle. And having an attitude towards your customers isn’t the right thing to do, the customers are what keeps a business running.

Ordered a small cake for a Bday dinner at a restaurant! I ordered the pineapple & dulce de leche filling (my favorite) and everyone who had a pc was raving about it!

I dealt with Alex from Mary’s Bakery. She was very friendly and helpful! The cake was delicious and very pretty. I would most definitely purchase a cake from here again.
There was one CON though. I don’t speak Spanish and when I initially called to inquire about a cake, I was told that no spoke English at this location and i had to call back the next day. That’s not good for business!

Best Dominican cake I’ve ever had. Try it for yourself. Super friendly environment and a lot of variations of cake. By far the best!
